Guadalupe is a Colombian municipality located in the Comunera province of the department of Santander in the territory of the river Suárez Hoya. It was founded in 1715 by the Camacho Sabidos family.

FOOTBALL HISTORY IN SANTANDER
Its history began with the first professional team that was the athletic
Bucaramanga that was officially founded on May 11, 1949, under the
direction of Rafael Chaberman, a Barranquilla merchant, who along
with several citizens of the time, mostly belonging to the
Santandereana League de Fútbol, took the initiative to create a club
that represents the santandereanos. Thus, in 1949, the year after the
idea of professional football was created in Colombia, the
Bucaramanga Athletic Club was officially created. In addition to its
founder, Mr. Rafael Chaberman, there are other partners such as:
Rafael Pérez Martinez, Luis Fernando San Miguel, Jorge Reyes
Puyana, Vicente Diaz, Manuel Enrique Puyana, Juan B. Silva, Gustavo
Mantilla Paipilla, Elias Solano and Enrique Orduz Ardila All of them
true masters of the sport that gave life to the administrative entity in
1949. One of his best moments is in the year of 1951, when the team
appeared in the first places of the standings during the first round of
the Colombian professional soccer tournament. Another historic
moment occurred on June 18, 1950, when the first memorable result in
the history of the team is given, as Athletic beat Deprive Cali on its own
court, the Pascual Guerrero Stadium, with a score of 5-1. And he made
his first international tour on the island of Curacao.
