Horseback riding tours, riding lessons and boarding Playa Ponies grew from our love of horses and the pleasure we get from working with and caring for them.

When we first met Eder and I enjoyed riding the beaches and trails around Nosara. While out we were frequently asked about our horses and if we offered tours. The seed was planted and we quickly discovered the fun and excitement of meeting new people and watching them experience the beauty of Costa Rica from horseback. We are truly blessed to be working with such amazing creatures. Thank you to all of our adventure seeking riders who have helped make our dreams a reality.

Welcome to Playa Ponies oficial Instagram! Playa Ponies was established in 2007 by Carrie Anderson. Alongside Carrie is her husband Neno and two beautiful daughters Maya and Eva. For the last 18 years Playa Ponies and team has prided themselves on their many accoplishments such as a renowned lesson program which includes a riding team that is broken up into skill level to ensure most effective lessons. As well, boarding services are offered including knowlegable barnhands who provide the utmost care. Popular for any age and riding level our horseback tours have been proudly running for the last 18 years and counting. You will always be in the best hands with our highly experienced tour guides who will have you smiling, laughing and anything in between all while enjoying the beautiful scenery Nosara has to offer.
