With its vivid green body, striking red eyes, and bright touches of blue and orange, this small amphibian is one of the colorful wonders of Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest. Around Golfo Dulce, especially after rain or during humid evenings, the presence of frogs like these is part of the living rhythm of the forest at Nicuesa.

ES: Miércoles de Vida Silvestre: Pocas criaturas del bosque lluvioso son tan icónicas como la rana de ojos rojos. Con su cuerpo verde intenso, llamativos ojos rojos y destellos de azul y naranja, este pequeño anfibio es una de las maravillas coloridas del bosque tropical de Costa Rica. En los alrededores de Golfo Dulce, especialmente después de la lluvia o durante las noches húmedas, la presencia de ranas como esta forma parte del ritmo vivo del bosque en Nicuesa.
