There I was, hobbling around with my cane, trying to look like I had my life together while knocking out mystery shops. Most people would've called it a day.
Me? I squeezed 10 mystery shops into less than 4 hours anyway. 😂
One thing I've learned after 15+ years of mystery shopping is that life doesn't always cooperate. Flat tires, bad weather, sore knees, forgotten coffee... somehow the shops still get done.
And honestly? Some of my funniest mystery shopping stories started on days that went completely sideways.

🛒💔 Who remembers Bargain Hunt?
As a mystery shopper, Bargain Hunt was always one of my favorite assignments. There was something fun about walking through the doors, hunting for deals, evaluating the customer experience, and never knowing what treasures I might find. Every visit felt like a little adventure.
Now, seeing these empty buildings is a reminder of how quickly things can change. While Bargain Hunt may be gone, the memories, stories, and mystery shopping experiences are still some of my favorites.

🚨 ENGLISH LESSON FOR REDNECKS 🚨

A friend of mine told me he needed to "clench" his thirst.

I said, "Buddy... I don't think that's the word you're looking for."

So let me explain:

💧 Quench = What happens when you drink something because you're thirsty.

🍑 Clench = What happens when you realize that fart might have bigger plans.

These are VERY different situations.

One requires a cold drink.

The other requires faith, courage, and immediate access to a bathroom. 😂

This weekend, I'm dusting off the disc golf bag and playing in what is usually my ONE tournament of the year. 🥏

There was a time when I played all the time. These days? Between work, responsibilities, and trying to keep all my chaos organized, finding time for the things I love isn't always easy.

But disc golf is one of those things that never really leaves you.

The moment that disc leaves my hand, I'm reminded why I fell in love with this sport in the first place. The challenge. The competition. The fresh air. The excitement of watching a perfect shot fly exactly where you wanted it to go... or watching it hit the very first tree. 😂

Disc golf, martial arts, and softball will always have a special place in my heart, even if I don't get to do them as often as I'd like.
