Prince Aviation MRO completes a double engine change on a Dassault Falcon.
Both Pratt & Whitney Canada engines on this particular 2000LXS have reached their Hot Section Inspection interval.
Because the engines are enrolled in P&WC's Eagle Service Plan (ESP) Platinum program, the operator received two leased engines. Our technicians installed them, so the aircraft can stay in service while the original engines undergo inspection and receive the service bulletins in the OEM service center.
The lease engines arrive as bare engines. Our team transfers every aircraft-specific component, accessory and line from the removed engines, replaces seals and fittings, installs each engine and runs the required ground tests.
We replace one engine at a time, because the left and right installations differ slightly and we want full control of every step.
This project adds to our experience on Pratt & Whitney Canada powerplants, which already includes on-wing Hot Section Inspections on the PW615, Hot Section inspection prep work on the PW545 together with P&WC Mobile Repair Teams.
