The FLOW project is officially coming to an end. 💜

To mark the closing phase of the project, the final international online conference was held, gathering over 100 participants from across Europe, especially from the partner countries Turkey, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Germany.

During the conference, we presented the main results of the project, shared the journey of how the project was implemented, and highlighted the activities carried out by each partner organization. Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about the Erasmus+ programme and the importance of international cooperation in the fields of sport and youth work.

The conference was inspiring and productive, creating space for exchange of ideas, experiences, and future collaboration around the themes addressed by the FLOW project.

💜 As part of the FLOW project, we developed another training program, this time focusing on the effects of the menstrual cycle on physical activities.

This resource helps youth workers, coaches, and educators better understand how menstrual cycle phases can influence girls’ participation, motivation, and wellbeing in sport.

Inside the training you can explore topics such as confidence building, menstrual health in sport, motivation and fatigue, injury prevention, cycle-aware training, and inclusive sports environments.

Between 30.04–05.05.2025, our organisation was a partner in the project “Laugh Your Worries Away” in Łódź, Poland 🇵🇱. Three participants from our organisation joined 20 youth workers from different countries 🌍 to explore how humour, laughter 😄, and improvisation 🎭 can be powerful tools for supporting mental well-being 🧠, reducing stress, and strengthening resilience in youth work.

Through interactive workshops, practical improv exercises, reflection sessions, and intercultural exchange 🤝, participants developed new methods for creating safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments for young people. The project also fostered cooperation, empathy, creativity, and peer learning ✨, while promoting mental health awareness, non-formal education 📚, intercultural dialogue 🌎, and the core values of Erasmus+ 🇪🇺.

Small changes can make a big difference when it comes to keeping girls in sports.
Often, it’s not about changing the whole system, but about adjusting the way we listen, communicate, and respond to girls’ needs.

Simple actions, like asking instead of assuming, allowing flexibility during training, and normalising conversations about menstruation can help girls feel safer, more understood, and more confident. Creating supportive environments where girls are listened to without judgment and where empathy comes first plays a key role in their continued participation in physical activity.

This is exactly what FLOW promotes: informed, sensitive, and inclusive approaches that help girls stay active and feel supported 💜

Our FLOW Youth Ambassadors play a key role in bringing the project to life 💜
They actively raise awareness on girls’ health, menstruation, well-being, and participation in sports by creating content, sharing information, and opening meaningful conversations within their communities.

As part of their role, Youth Ambassadors organize raising awareness activities both online and in person, including workshops, discussions, and events where they educate and engage participants on these topics. Through these activities, they help break taboos, challenge stereotypes, and promote more inclusive and supportive environments for girls in sport.

Our ambassadors describe this experience as deeply empowering, they are proud to give girls a voice, contribute to positive change, and be part of a project with real impact. ✨
Along the way, they have connected with inspiring people, gained practical skills through trainings, and grown both personally and professionally.

Together, we are building safer, more informed, and more supportive spaces for girls in sport 💪🌸
