Naučni institut za prehrambene tehnologije u Novom Sadu (FINS) jedan je od vodećih instituta u oblasti istraživanja hrane i hrane za životinje.

U Istraživačkom centru za tehnologiju biljnih prehrambenih proizvoda obavlja se naučnoistraživački rad, kao i poslovi vezani za transfer rezultata naučnoistraživačkog rada u praksu, u sledećim oblastima:

Postharvest tehnologijama i skladište zrnastih kultura i svežeg voća i povrća
Tehnologije žita i brašna, voća i povrća, šećera, konditorskih proizvoda,
Ispitivanja fizičkih, hemijskih, biohemi

🇪🇺 The European Food Safety Authority IPA Beneficiaries’ EXPO in Podgorica brought together experts and institutions dedicated to strengthening food safety and risk assessment capacities across the region.
Representatives of Institute of Food Technology in Novi Sad, together with colleagues from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, participated as experts at the event, alongside the national coordinator and European Food Safety Authority Focal Point representatives.
During the EXPO, the FINS team showcased previous achievements and future project initiatives within the European Food Safety Authority remit, highlighting long-term expertise in:
🔬 Food safety and quality
⚠️ Risk assessment and emerging hazards
🌾 Mycotoxin monitoring and analytical methods
♻️ Sustainable food systems and circular bioeconomy
🧪 Innovative processing technologies and preventive safety approaches.

Директор Научног института за прехрамбене технологије у Новом Саду, др Милош Пелић, учествовао је на састанку представника Покрајинске владе и делегације Провинције Бенго из Анголе, одржаном у Покрајинској влади АП Војводине.

Током састанка разговарано је о могућностима будуће сарадње у области међународних пројеката, размене знања и искустава, као и потенцијалном повезивању институција у областима безбедности хране, прехрамбених технологија, едукације кадрова и одрживих агро-прехрамбених система.

Посебан акценат стављен је на значај јачања међународне научне сарадње и повезивања институција кроз заједничке иницијативе и програме Европске уније.

Open collaboration in action! 🌱🔬

Within the Impress Horizon Europe Project, an open collaboration was established with the Horizon Europe EINSTEIN project during the Future Food and Health event, held at the Science and Technology Park Novi Sad.
As part of this open collaboration, the IMPRESS project contributed two educational sessions for PhD students from the University of Novi Sad and Wageningen University:

🌿 Low-trophic species as alternative resources for health-promoting food ingredients
🤝 Participative approaches in new product development using low-trophic species

It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas on sustainable food ingredients, innovation and co-creation - and to show how projects can create value when they connect. 💚

🔬 Istraživači sa Naučni institut za prehrambene tehnologije u Novom Sadu učestvovali su na događaju „LAB2MARKET – Partnerstvo nauke i privrede“, u organizaciji Фонд за науку Републике Србије - Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, koji je bio posvećen predstavljanju naučnoistraživačkih projekata koji su uspešno napravili iskorak iz laboratorije ka tržištu.

Na događaju su predstavljeni i projekti DANUBEcare i PROTOPOWER koji povezuju naučnu zajednicu, privredni sektor i inovacioni ekosistem u cilju razvoja održivih i konkurentnih rešenja zasnovanih na nauci.

If “Reshaping the Future of Food” means building more sustainable and circular food systems, then alternative proteins and insect-based feed ingredients are becoming impossible to ignore.
Prof. Gasco is one of the leading international experts in insect production and nutrition, with research spanning aquaculture, poultry, pigs, and rabbits, while connecting sustainability, feed technology, and circular bioeconomy concepts.
As President of the EAAP Study Commission on Insects and a key contributor to numerous Horizon Europe, PRIMA, and EIT Food projects, she plays an active role in shaping the future of sustainable animal nutrition at the European level.
