Pouzdan uređaj koji je blizu čistog savršenstva, i u hardverskom i u softverskom domenu...
Verovatno će u manje-više neizmenjenom obliku služiti padobrance širom planete još decenijama :)

🎂 January 10, 1991 marked a turning point for skydiving safety. After years of development and uncertainty about industry acceptance, the very first CYPRES unit left the factory. This set a new standard for reliability in automatic activation devices that would change the sport forever.

Thirty five years later, CYPRES AAD remains trusted by skydivers around the world and has saved more than 5,400+ lives.

Airtec’s ongoing commitment to innovation and reliability stands behind the sport we all love. We can’t thank Helmut Cloth enough for his bold belief in a safer future for skydiving, and for creating a legacy through his invention that continues to save lives.

Happy Birthday, CYPRES!

HALL OF FAME HIGHLIGHT: HELMUT CLOTH 🇩🇪

Helmut Cloth is a pioneering German engineer and entrepreneur, renowned for revolutionizing skydiving safety through his invention of the Cybernetic Parachute Release System (CYPRES). '

His journey into skydiving began in 1972, and by 1986, he was actively participating in European relative work (RW) record attempts. During one such event, a close friend tragically lost his life due to a malfunction, impacting the ground with neither his main nor reserve parachute deployed. This profound loss motivated Helmut to envision and develop a reliable Automatic Activation Device (AAD) to prevent similar accidents.

After four and a half years of rigorous research and development, and through twelve prototypes, Helmut introduced the first CYPRES in 1991. This groundbreaking device set new standards in parachuting safety, ensuring automatic activation of the reserve parachute under specific conditions, thereby significantly reducing fatalities in the sport.
