Let me provide you with an outlook on the Cuban reopening plans in light of the COVID-19 pandemic:
We currently expect that stays in casas particulares in Havana and tours throughout the island would hopefully be allowed again as of September 1st, 2020. The timing depends on the Cuban government declaring the start date for phase 3, the last COVID-19 recovery phase. We believe that at least for Havana an earlier reopening is rather improbable, although several sources mention a possible start of phase 3 on August 1st already. The recovery phase 2 is confirmed to start tomorrow (July 1st, 2020), meaning that the borders will be reopened for tourism, but foreigners will be confined to stay in selected beach resorts (e.g. in Cayo Coco, Cayo Guillermo and Cayo Santa María). Havana however has still not entered recovery phase 1 yet, although the reported infection rates are very low (only one new case yesterday).

What you can expect at 'Salsa con Clase' in Havana

Our dance school 'Salsa con Clase' in Havana (Cuba) offers first class dance education for all Cuban dances such as Cuban Salsa (incl. Lady/Men Styling), Rueda de Casino, Son, Reggaeton, Rumba (Guaguancó, Jambú and Columbia), Afro-Cuban Dances (Folklore Yoruba), Danzón, Changüi, Popular Dances (Cha-cha-cha, Mambo, Mozambique and Pilón), as well as for dances from other countries, such as Kizomba, Bachata and Tango.

Our school is open every day from 9 am to 7 pm and our location in Central Havana is in walking distance of Old Havana. Our spacious and well ventilated classroom and our nice roof-top terrace provide ideal conditions for students who wish to enjoy individual or group lessons with experienced teachers. You will dance with a personal teacher who will adapt the classes to your level, needs and wishes, considering your knowledge and capabilities.

We also offer Spanish and percussion classes and you can use our taxi dancer service to go out at night to practice with your dance teacher. We look forward to welcoming you and giving you an unforgettable experience.
