One of the coolest artefacts we can find in the Heian Maru (probably my favourite wreck in Truk Lagoon) is the medical kit in one of the stern holds with lots of medical appliances down on the floor.
This is what I love most about wreck diving. It’s not just about exploring a shipwreck; it’s about connecting with the people who lived and worked there. Seeing their belongings, imagining their daily routines and gaining a glimpse into the realities they faced brings history to life in a way few other experiences can.
Every wreck has a story. Every artefact is a piece of it.

Surrounded by massive control wheels, gauges and machinery frozen in time since World War II, exploring the engine room feels like stepping into a forgotten world. Every valve, every rusted surface and every beam of light tells a story from more than 80 years ago.
One of the most impressive wreck engine rooms in Truk Lagoon, where history, adventure and technical diving come together beneath the surface.

Follow the red fins through this iconic corridor on a deep CCR wreck dive…
Gliding silently on rebreathers, exploring one of the most famous shipwreck passages in the world: this is technical diving at its finest. Crystal-clear water and that feeling of expedition in remote areas.
Can you name the shipwreck? 👇
