Championship Sunday at the Tafelberg Tennis Slam! Congratulations to all of the winners of the 8 different categories. Big thanks to Enrico van der Meij and MMO as well as Raoul Behr and the team at HBM for sponsoring this event. Thank you to the many volunteers from our Tafelberg Tennis Oasis members. Erik Stolk for many late nights cleaning and behind the scenes work. Cecilia Bosso and Productos Argentinos for her hard work organizing the bar throughout the week and providing exceptional wines and snacks. Thank you for the amazing food and service from Ché and Bianca and the team from Confetti & Company catering services. Robbert Dijk and Stitch One for providing exceptional service on the T-shirts. Great idea Theo Sijbrandij! De Jongh Sports for supplying the tennis balls. Thank you to all the players who made the event happen. It was the first tournament since Covid and we were able to do it in a safe way while still maintaining a nice atmosphere. Having players represented from the other tennis communities was very special. Thanks to the players, their families, friends and supporters who supported Cats of Curacao. This is a cause which is close to our hearts as Mariette Hanssen is an absolute angel who has dedicated her life to rescuing and finding homes for countless cats in Curaçao. Timothy Blok for playing doubles with me! I had a blast being a player too! Rob De Bekker, congrats on your Singles B AND Doubles B victories, but also for always being a support and driving force for the tennis community at Tafelberg Tennis Oasis. Is there a better resort GM tennis player on the planet? Maren Kooy ... what can I say. I literally couldn't have done it without you. You were there everyday doing everything from setting up the bar, sweeping the courts, taking photos, designing the posters, creating the google form for registration, covering the tournament desk, cleaning up at the end of a long day and being a constant support throughout the entire event and all with a smile.
