This Monday was the last training session for Joa Jansen before starting a new chapter in the Netherlands.
One of the bittersweet parts of working with young athletes is watching them grow up and eventually move on to chase their dreams. Just like students leaving after graduation, some of our fighters are now starting a new chapter abroad. This year, three of our youth competition fighters are leaving, and Joa is the first one.
Over the years, he has been a true representative of IMMARTIAL inside and outside the ring. A talented, respectful, and genuine young man who fought multiple times for our team, always showing heart, courage, and dedication. No matter the challenge, he stepped up and gave his all, taking both the sport and his preparation seriously every single time.
As a fight team, we are proud to have been part of his journey and to have watched him grow, not only as a fighter but also as a person. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we are excited to see what the future holds for him.
We wish you nothing but success in the Netherlands. Keep chasing your goals, keep working hard, and keep representing the values that brought you this far.
Don’t be a stranger. When you come back, it probably won’t be as the young man who left, but as an even stronger and more mature version of yourself.
