A few years ago I saw a video of a commencement address of Admiral William H. McRaven at the University of Texas at Austin back in 2014 and it truly made an inpact on me. Today; and in another form, I came accross it again and thought I should share, as it truly resonated even more than back then.

If I can bring you any empowerment today, I truly hope to do so through this video. We are in this together and we will get out of it STRONGER than ever with an ever stronger connection!

You haven't heard of me in quite a while and that's because I have been super busy working on many projects. Today, I wanted to share this picture of some of the participants of Miss Teen Curacao International whom I have the absolute honor of coaching. Today's session and assignment took an unexpected turn and resulted in the most beautiful, pure, honest session I have experienced. It's never too late to learn a thing or two...Today was inspirational and a beautiful lesson of how we each deal with circumstances that affect us dearly. Thank you ladies and thank you

Als jouw kind er alles aan heeft gedaan gedurende het hele schooljaar en krijgt vandaag VSBO advies, mooi! THAT'S his or her potential! Als jouw kind er alles aan heeft gedaan gedurende het hele schooljaar en krijgt HAVO advies ook mooi! Niemand is meer of minder omdat ze VSBO of HAVO hebben gehaald. Als jouw kind het dit jaar niet heeft gehaald, dan volgend jaar nog een keertje proberen en samen werken aan de zwakke vakken en aan het zelfvertrouwen van dat kind. Ze hebben druk van school, van ons en van zichzelf want ze willen ons niet in de steek laten.. So, come on people! Let's put our own EGO's aside and let's celebrate OUR CHILDREN AND THEIR OWN SUCCESSES even if they aren't what WE had envisioned them to be!
