All our teams played with heart, pride, and great sportsmanship today. Well done to everyone for turning our field purple and playing in kindness to support Pancreatic Cancer Awareness.

A special thank you to NRL WA Game Development Officer Jake for refereeing our games, and to St John WA - Christmas Island for being on hand to provide support if needed throughout the day.

To our committee members and coaches, we appreciate everything you do for our Rugby Club and our children. Your dedication, time, and commitment make days like this possible.

As a club, we came together to make a difference and raised $1435.00 towards Pancreatic Cancer.

Week 4 Update | Celebrating Our Volunteers

Welcome to Week 4 of the Christmas Island Robbers Rugby League program!

This week and next, we are proud to celebrate National Volunteer Week, Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. It recognises the incredible contributions of volunteers across the country and highlights how giving time and skills helps build stronger, more connected communities.

This year’s theme: Your Year to Volunteer
The theme encourages everyone to consider making 2026 a year of meaningful involvement, whatever that looks like for them. It’s also a chance to thank those who already give their time so generously and to invite others to experience the connection, purpose, and positive impact that volunteering brings.

Get involved – Micro-volunteering this week!
This week, we invite all families to try micro-volunteering. These are simple, low-commitment ways to help, such as offering to help set up, or packing away equipment at the end of each session. Many hands make light work and help keep things running smoothly for everyone.
