The 2026 TOLL Club Championships are in the books and what a final round it was!
In C-Grade Richard streaked away taking the crown by nearly 20 shots from Isaac. Callum came home strong to take out the Nett prize. A master stroke by Jahis to make Alan work so he couldn’t make up the 40-stroke deficit on the last day. We apologize to Jahis and Isaac for the mixup, three digit numbers are hard.
In B-Grade Aidan came from behind to take an excellent 1-shot win over Morgan! Mr consistent Alan took out the Nett prize for the year.
It was down to three golfers duking it out for the club champion prize. Andrew played three sub-70 rounds to secure the Club Champion prize with Taj coming in second. Alex rounded out the top three, taking out the Nett prize.
We thank TOLL for coming onboard as sponsors as well as Abers for his excellent work with the Nett champion plaques.

Good luck to everyone today in the fourth round of the TOLL Club Championships.
B-Grade looks to be the most hotly contested but on this course anything can happen!

Big weekend of golf with Round 2 of the TOLL Club Championships being held today!
There are some extremely tight battles at the top of each grade for honors with nothing separating A and C-grade.
Mitchell is relying on Qantas more than most to try and hang around a bit long so he can keep giving Andrew some competition.
Aidan has a 3-shot lead over Alan and Morgan in B-grade, playing super consistent golf so far.
Richard and Jahis are locked up at the top of C-Grade with only Isaac in touching distance.
Good luck to all on course tomorrow for Round 3.

The PRL Monthly Medal was on today, which also kicked off the start of the TOLL Club Championships.
Taj came in with a 60 to take home a brand new shirt with Richard and Callum taking out second and third respectively.
The question on everyone’s lips is “will mum and dad let Mitch wag school to get his name on the Club Champions board?”

This week everyone set their dials for a game of Individual Stableford. The DJs came out on top with Avin scoring a remarkable 43 points and Aidan came in second with 36.
Some mistaked the course for the set of street fighter as calls of “Hajo Duken” rang out but that was our newbie nabbing a nearest to pin novelty.
Happy golfing.

The tradition of the Christmas Island Golf Open continued in style, with another fantastic 3-day event held from May 15–17. This year’s Open was especially memorable as it marked the first time PRL on board as the major sponsor and supporter of the event. Three unforgettable days of golf were enjoyed by all. There were plenty of laughs, great catch-ups with old friends (and new ones), incredible food, and some challenging golf played in hot, humid conditions — with even a touch of rain arriving on Sunday afternoon to keep things interesting!
The CIGC would like to sincerely thank:
• All players who participated — with an incredible 108 players on Saturday alone A special mention goes to those who travelled and unexpectedly found themselves enjoying a few extra nights on the Island
• Everyone who generously volunteered their time across apparel, logistics, the calcutta, auction, catering, transport, food and beverage service, and all the many behind-the-scenes jobs that often go unnoticed. Your efforts are truly appreciated, and the club will be reaching out in the coming weeks to properly recognise and thank everyone involved.
• The dedicated crew who worked tirelessly to prepare the course to such a high standard. Many long hours were put in during the weeks leading up to the event, and the results were there for all to see and enjoy.
•
• Our wonderful Open sponsors, whose support and generosity helped make the event such a success: PRL Drummond Golf – Osborne Park Toll Salted Coffee Island Experiences Tracks Tavern Island Transport

The May edition of the PRL Monthly Medal occurred today with a solid field.
The McKnights weren’t able to make it four in a row, and in a turn of events that makes it seem like everything is going back to normal, Andrew came second. Jahis was the big winner in the day, pipping Andrew on a countback!

On Saturday we had a return of the Thailand crew in time for the Captains Cup.
Alex came through for the win in A-Grade, the only player to beat his handicap. Aidan took the choccies in B-grade, while Isaac came home on top in C-grade.
The PRL Open is sneaking up on us. It looks to be a fantastic weekend!
