We’d like to share our good news!

This will be the last post on our page.
And it seems quite fitting that we finish our posts with one of our very first pupils!

Jade was our first ever pupil, this year she should have been graduating at our 10 year Anniversary show, celebrating her success of being accepted onto a full time Musical Theatre Course by performing this dance on stage. Unfortunately Covid hit and we were unable to hold our end of year show case! And so Jade has performed her graduation dance online! We are so proud of you for all of your dedication & hard work throughout the years, & we are excited to follow your future success! Our journey from meeting you at the age of seven until now has been one we will never forget, you are like family & we are honoured to have been able to give you the stepping stones to guide you on your way to creating the future of your dreams! Official Social Media announcement regarding the closure of our beloved Academy in Ayia Napa.

Well what a blast we’ve had throughout our ten years! This is not the way that we wanted our journey to end and I will forever hold a deep regret for not being able to continue with you all on your dance journey. But my situation is one that will not allow me to give my all to the school, and those of you that know me will know, I don’t like doing things by half!

The last ten years have been a dream and a blessing to have been able to touch so many of our pupils lives through the education of dance, some in big ways and some in a small way, but still I feel honoured to have had a position that allowed me to share the best of me, my dance knowledge and life experience with you all and to play a part in you achieving your goals.

I hope you will all carry your experience with you on your life’s journey no matter what you do in life!

Our mission
Performers Academy’s mission was to create a dance community and create dance opportunities for children in our area. I believe we did this and will treasure you and our memories for my years to come!

I would like to make a special thank you to Miss Emily who has been by my side for the full ten years she has been flawless in her role as my second in command, always loyal, always supportive! It has been amazing to watch her grow into a talented and nurturing dance teacher. I have been extremely blessed to have such a special person to share this journey with and I wish her every success!

I would also like to thank Miss Cherilee for her support throughout the years, for her fun spirit that really made Performers Hip hop and Acting lessons a fun place to be for our youths! We will never forget your talent, input, enthusiasm, and dedication to our school!

For his belief in me and his understanding of my commitment to the school, when at times I know he thought I was bat crazy!

To our pupils past and present, parents, teachers past and present, supporters, with out you we couldn’t have done it! Thank you!!

Breaking the news!
After breaking the sad news to our pupils that we would not be returning to the dance school during our lock down zoom lessons, we decided to go out on a positive high! Helping them to leave with confidence and believing in their individual abilities ready to continue their training at their next dance schools.

So we choreographed this dance and in a few lessons our jazz lock down Zoom kids had learnt it. I am so proud of the way they handled the situation, for their maturity, understanding, support and their gratitude from the highest levels.
This as teachers made us proud that you are our pupils!

To all of you we congratulate your individual growth, big and small! And cherish the journey we have shared with you!
