Rust is earned! 🔸🔸

The Zenobia is a progressive wreck. That means the more time you put in, the more you get. You want rust, you’ve got to earn it. 😅

Anyone can show you the bones of the Zenobia. The tourist routes, the obvious bit everyone photographs. That’s a day trip, not a dive, and it’s not really what she’s about.

If you’re looking to actually get into one of the best wrecks in the world, you need more than a day. Here’s how I work: we start simple, getting you comfortable and figuring out how you dive, then each day builds on the last. Nothing skipped, nothing rushed ahead of where you’re ready to be. Keep going and you gradually earn your way into the areas most divers never even know exist. 🤿

Nobody gets fast tracked. Not because I’m precious about it, but because that’s genuinely how you end up somewhere special safely, and actually able to appreciate what you’re looking at, rather than just ticking it off a list. Small groups, your pace, built around where you actually are as a diver, not where you’d like to already be. ⚙️

Why your dive computer won’t change in an air pocket. 🤯

You swim up into a pocket of trapped air, and your computer just carries on like nothing’s happened. No surface reading, no reset. Why? 🤷‍♂️

Because it only measures pressure, not air or water. In a pocket at depth, you’re still under exactly the same pressure as the water around you. Your computer’s not confused, it’s just doing its actual job. ⚗️🧪

That’s the kind of thing you pick up diving with someone who knows this wreck properly. Small groups, your pace, and I’ll actually explain what’s happening rather than just pointing at it and moving on. ⚙️

Always a pleasure in the engine room! ⚙️

This isn’t the bow, or a simple swim along the outside. You’re inside metal that’s been down here since 1980, limited visibility, limited exits, zero room for someone losing track of you. Trust isn’t a bonus here, it’s the whole foundation the dive is built on. 💪🏽

That trust comes from time, not a certification card. Thousands of dives on this wreck, years learning every route through her. I know where the silt sits, where the light disappears, where you need to be watched a little closer. Not something a guide doing their first season here can offer you, however good their intentions are.🙃

You need someone watching you down there, not counting heads. I don’t cut corners on safety to fit more people in. When you’re ready for an instructor you can genuinely trust with your life, I’m here. 🙏🏼

Not quite, but I’ll take it. 😂

If you’re looking for a personal experience on one of the best wrecks in the world, you’re in the right place. Not a big dive centre with a fleet of boats and a name everyone recognises, just me, the Zenobia, and years of getting to know her properly.

That’s the difference really. Big operators run big groups, seasonal staff, and a route everyone gets taken on whether they want it or not. I run small groups, built around you, guided by someone who actually lives here and dives this wreck year round, not just for a summer. Experience over establishment, every time.

You don’t need the biggest name in Larnaca to have the best dive of your life. You just need someone who genuinely knows what they’re doing and cares whether you enjoy it. 🤙🏽

“Bigger group, same price, less dive.” 😅

If this year’s shown me one thing though, it’s the value of doing things properly.

My maximum group size is 4. Maximum 2 smaller groups, 1 to 1, 2 to 1, 2 to 2. The ratios change, but the rule never does. That’s for comfort and safety, not for show.

Could I pile more people in? Sure. Sometimes you’d get exactly the same experience. Sometimes someone’s dive gets quietly compromised and nobody says anything. I see guides taking groups of 8, 10 down onto the Zenobia and just think, glad I left that behind. 😅

That’s what it comes down to for me. What I say I do is what I actually do. No false promises online just to get you booked in. You’re welcome to dive with whoever you want, that’s genuinely fine by me. But when you realise bigger isn’t always better, I’m here. 🙏🏼

Some things were just built to last, and this is one of them. Decades underwater and she’s still holding her shape, still holding her secrets. 🤫

The Zenobia has over a hundred trucks on board, and even more secrets than that, and I want to show them to you. 🚛

I’ve spent years on this wreck, and that’s what you get diving with me. Not a new guide finding their feet, someone who knows this wreck inside out. Thousands of dives on her, and I still learn something new every time I go down. I’m not seasonal, I’m not here for a summer and gone by October, this is what I do, full time, all year round.
