| ABOUT THE CLASS |
The class focuses on movement acrobatics applicable to contemporary dance and movement exploration. Participants will explore integrating acrobatics with floorwork, space awareness, and direction through combinations and exploration tasks given during the class. We will start with warm-up exercises to awaken joint mobility and engage our core. Following this, we'll progress to explore acrobatics that move us through space preparing us for more complex combinations that merge acrobatics, inversions, dance and floorwork, leading to a fluid exploration of new movement possibilities. Key objectives of the class include cultivating sharpness, elasticity, tricking and flow, while encouraging participants to embrace the opportunity to expand their movement capabilities by overcoming the fear of trying something new in the studio.
