English family owned camp site in Cyprus. Camping in “Paradise”... We have a beautifully situated piece of land near Limassol in the Troodos Mountains.
Talk about “Paradise”....... peaceful, quiet, serene, private, safe with awesome unspoilt mountain views all round. On the land is a fishpond with a BBQ island in the middle, a waterfall (sometimes) and a fun 60 metre zipline. Close to traditional mountain villages with quaint taverns, cafes, restaurants and shops. It is ideally situated for hiking / walking in the mountains where there is much wi
ldlife, streams and waterfalls to see. Car hire is cheap, driving on the same side of the road as in the UK, so if touring the old villages is your thing, there is much to see. Maybe you like to visit the traditional wineries, there are many as this is a predominant wine region. We are only 25 minutes by car to the top of the mountain with Troodos village, 10 minutes to Platres village, 15 minutes to Omodos village, 15 minutes to Kakapetria village and only 25 minutes from the many beautiful beaches all around Limassol. As we are in the middle of the island it’s easy to visit everywhere from Limassol, 45 minutes to Larnaka, 45 minutes to Paphos, 1 hour to Nicosia etc etc. We have camped up there many times, loved it and want to share. The site is very basic and not on the grid so torches are essential. There is a proper flush toilet (beats a hole in the ground) and a natural spring water shower. We have an insulated “hikers lodge” (converted shed, see photos) that bunk sleeps two and has gas cooking facilities for £100 GRP per week or a four person tent for £100 GRP per week (see photos). Otherwise you can bring your own tent for £5 GRP per day (minimum 5 days). A brilliant chill out, relaxational retreat, we are sure you will love it as much as we do.:)
