Thinking about trying BJJ but not sure what to expect?

Your first class starts with meeting your coach and getting comfortable on the mats. You’ll warm up, learn some basic techniques and then practise them with a partner.

No previous experience or special preparation is needed.
Just come as you are and be ready to learn something new.

MEET OUR YOUNG ATHLETE, YAROSLAV KHUDOLEEV! 🥋

Yaroslav is 13 years old and has been training in BJJ for just over a year. In that time, he has already competed in several international tournaments and, through hard work, discipline and determination, earned his grey-and-white belt! 🩶🤍

Now, Yaroslav and his team are preparing for one of the biggest events of the year: the BJJ World Championship in Abu Dhabi, taking place this November!

On 19 September, Checkmat Limassol kicked off the new season with its first BJJ tournament. Despite competing with a relatively small team, our athletes achieved fantastic results! 💪
