Team Yeti : Everest Base Camp Expedition 2013

1 successful summit to Kala Patthar Peak (5644m) in very bad weather. Ice, snow, wind, and -25C in the bedrooms. Sorry for the photo but was lacking photographers and feeling in limbs :)

Team Yeti Update: The team are now venturing into the Jungle!!!
After arriving safely in Kathmandu the team decided it was time to relax and do some shopping, they spent a day and a half there then hopped on a bus yesterday into the Jungle.
Yesterday they went to an elephant sanctuary and watched the sun set as wild deer ran around them. Today they have been on an elephant ride through the jungle and then went and had a bath with their elephants :-). Now they will hop into canoes on the hunt for crocodiles!!!!

Team Yeti Update: Just a quick update from Namche at the lower levels of 3440m. Thanks for the updates so far Kay. Let me start by saying we are all safe :) After some terrible weather last week and ice and snow reaching high levels we had some very difficult trekking ahead of us. Bearing this in mind we had 6 successful accents to Everest Base Camp (5300m) where we took as many pics as the blizzards allowed us too and one successful solo summit to Kala Phatar Peak (5600m) the next day. A rescue helicopter evacuated 2 of our crew the next day, one of which was recovering in Kathmandu hospital and has now flown back to CY. There are 4 of us left on the mountains now but I repeat, we are all safe. Pics will be put up later :) (Lex)

Everest Base Camp update #10
After a massive dump of snow over night temperatures in the tea houses have been dropping to -25!!
This morning Lex woke up at 4.30 am and trekked up to the Kala Pathar peak to see the amazing views of Everest, with the snow over night this was a grueling trek. 50 people started the trek and only 5 people made it to the peak so a massive congratulations to Lex.
With tiredness reaching a maximum the rest of the group stayed at Gorakshep and then together they made there way down the mountain. After a night sleeping at a lower altitude they will feel amazing tomorrow morning.
