The Tor de Geants , an ultra mountain footrace, for experienced trail runners only.
The course is consisted of 339km and total me of elevation climbed about 24000m.
It loops around the entire Aosta Valley, passing beneath some of the highest peaks in the Alps and through major nature parks like Gran Paradiso.
Our two Cyprus flag bearers represent Cyprus in this grueling event. Andreas Djiakouris and Victor olov Leonidou.
Call it madness or ambition or an expression of the limits that the human body can withstand these two Cypriot men are toughing it out as we speak.
And worth mentioning that so far are doing great!
Support live crew in Aosta helping out - because with out Support the feat becomes impossible ( unmeasurable thanks)
Simos Kitiris Markello Achniotis Angelos Savva
Stay tuned..
The race is underway.

The answer came a very long time ago.
๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฆต๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™€๏ธ

The choice between free-weights Vs machines is a topic often debated by coaches, athletes, and recreational lifters.
๐Ÿ’ช
Will I benefit more from machines or free weights at the gym, when evaluating strength and power?
The published papers stated the conclusion again and again.
" no differences were detected when comparing the two methods".
Choose the the programming, exercises, technique, reps, tempo, sets...
Both vital and helpful.
Choose your Strength coach wisely and reap the benefits.

Why do we swim?

Not to finish first.
Not to collect medals.
Not to prove something.

We swim because there is something extraordinary
about entering the sea together.

Every person starts from a different place.
Every person swims a different distance.

But for a little while, the horizon belongs to all of us.

This isn't just another open-water swim.
It's a community brought together by movement,
purpose and the belief that every stroke can become
something bigger than itself.

This year, every registration helps support "ฮ ฮฑฮณฮบฯฯ€ฯฮนฮฟฯ‚ ฮฃฯฮฝฮดฮตฯƒฮผฮฟฯ‚ ฮฃฯ€ฮฌฮฝฮนฯ‰ฮฝ ฮ“ฮตฮฝฮตฯ„ฮนฮบฯŽฮฝ ฮ ฮฑฮธฮฎฯƒฮตฯ‰ฮฝ - ฮœฮฟฮฝฮฑฮดฮนฮบฮฌ ฮงฮฑฮผฯŒฮณฮตฮปฮฑ".

Because swimming changes more than the person in the water.
It can change someone else's life too.

See you at sunrise.

Sharing common values about their flexibility in training as it progresses, is not weakness.
It is the mental skill that shows versatility and protects both confidence and long term performance.

Get uncomfortable.
Often.
In order to remain functionally strong remember to get your body out of it's cozy and relaxed mode.

Summer is here, and the calling for more open water swimming action is even more vibrant in swimmers brains. Get your muscles firing in the water, and enjoy our fun day out there for a good cause. SAVE THE DATE 11.10.2026

Imagine meeting yourself 10 years from now.
Would that version of you thank you for today's workouts?
Functional strength training isn't about chasing exhaustion or proving how hard you can train. It's about building a body that continues to serve you well over time.
Research consistently shows that strength training supports muscle mass, balance, mobility, and overall quality of life as we age.
Every squat, carry, push, and pull is an investment in your future .
The question isn't "Can I get stronger?" The question is: "How strong do I want to be in the years ahead?"
What does your future self need from you today?
