Big gains for Cyprus Sunshine Cup riders in the World Ranking!

Anne Terpstra 🇳🇱 dominated, earning 180 points at , the highest among global athletes last week. Climbing two positions, she now sits at 12th in the Cross Country world ranking. Fellow Dutch cyclist Lotte Koopmans 🇳🇱 gained 110 points (3rd best of the week) and rose 10 places to No65!

Cypriot Constantina Georgiou 🇨🇾 made a significant leap, jumping 44 spots to No184, securing 44 crucial points. Jitka Čábelická 🇨🇿 moved up two places to No39, and Wiedman 🇦🇹 climbed 5 spots, now at No55.

On the men's ranking Gily Gonen גילי גונן 🇮🇱 moved up two places to No48. Ukrainian rider Hudyma 🇺🇦, as well as Athanasiadis 🇬🇷, Titarenko 🇺🇦, and Skarnitzl 🇨🇿 showed impressive performances, gaining 8, 9, 8, and 29 seats respectively.

Στην απονομή των βραβείων του Sunshine Cup 2024 στο Δάσος Μαχαιρά παρευρέθηκε χθες ο Υφυπουργός Τουρισμού κ. Kostas Koumis IICostas Koumis, ο οποίος απένειμε τα βραβεία στην κατηγορία Elite Women.

Ο κ. Κουμής χαιρέτησε την επανέναρξη του "Cyprus Sunshine Cup" μετά από τρία ολόκληρα χρόνια, ενώ δήλωσε, μεταξύ άλλων, πως η συνεχής ανταπόκριση των αθλητών αποδεικνύει ότι η χώρα μας θεωρείται κορυφαίος προορισμός για αθλητικές εκδηλώσεις ποδηλασίας, αλλά και για σκοπούς προετοιμασίας.
