Il-Giro d’Italia ta’ din is-sena se jkun wieħed storiku għal pajjiżna hekk kif Andrea Mifsud se jsir l-ewwel ċiklist Malti li qatt ħa sehem f’din it-tellieqa famuża. Mifsud, li jsuq mat-tim Polti-VisitMalta, huwa meqjus bħala ċiklist b’saħħtu ħafna u mistenni jħalli l-marka tiegħu.

Andrea Mifsud is set to make history as the first Maltese cyclist ever to compete in the Giro d’Italia. 🚲🇮🇹

The cyclist will line up with Team Polti VisitMalta in this year’s edition of the race, which starts on Friday and runs until 31 May.

The Giro d’Italia is one of cycling’s biggest and most prestigious competitions, with riders taking on stages across Italy and beyond, including demanding climbs and major challenges along the way.

Mifsud described this moment as a huge honour, both on a personal level and for Malta, saying he feels a duty to give everything and represent both Polti VisitMalta and Malta in the best way possible.

Great result for Diana Muscat at the granfondo Cyprus. She finished 3rd in Cat. in the first time trial on a regular road bike. Today she produced an outstanding ride climbing to second place in Cat. GC and 7th overall from 46 women.
