5 of our junior players made the trip to Nicosia on Sunday the 7th June to represent Emba Badminton Club in the U13 Masters Tournament.
The players were Skyler, Andy, Bo, Matheos and Anatoliy. They all demonstrated excellent skills and played with impressive grit and determination in what was a very hot gymnasium.
Anatoliy reached the quarter finals and Matheos reached the semi-finals, coming 3rd in the tournament. All the players were exhausted by the end of the day.
We are very proud of their achievements.

OLYMPIC SPORTS -PAPHOS SCHOOLS
For four mornings in May Emba Badminton Club took part in the Olympic Sports Schools Presentations initiative. We were able to introduce and present our sport to primary aged children from schools in the paphos region. It gave them the opportunity to try their racquet and shuttle skills and to play a new sport. Great fun for all.

Making Paphos Proud

Paphos has reason to celebrate as two of its young athletes stepped onto the international stage at the recent U19 International Badminton Tournament. David and Harry proudly represented their hometown among competitors from 12 different countries, showcasing both talent and determination.

While Nicosia is widely regarded as the island’s badminton stronghold, home to several major clubs, this achievement highlights the growing presence of the sport in Paphos. The participation of these two players from Paphos marks an important moment for the local badminton community.

Their involvement in such a prestigious event is a testament to their hard work and the support behind them. At Emba Badminton Club we are delighted to see young players compete at this level, inspiring the next generation of athletes.

This weekend we celebrated Easter at our Junior Club! 🐣🎾
Our experienced players enjoyed Fun Doubles, while our beginners and youngest members took part in exciting Easter activities.

We wrapped up the day by sharing Easter gift bags with all our junior club members — a perfect ending to a fun-filled celebration! 💛
