Join us for the National Flag Parade – the official opening ceremony of IRONMAN 70.3 Hradec Králové!🎉

Our volunteers will carry the flags of all the nations represented on the start line through the city. Accompanied by a marching band, the parade will bring athletes, families, friends and fans together to celebrate the international spirit of the race.🙌

Everyone is welcome to join the parade and help us officially kick off an unforgettable race weekend!

After the ceremony, the flags will be displayed near the race start, adding to the unique atmosphere on race day.❤️

𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘

Today at 8:00 , the measured water temperature was 22.5 °C. However, the final decision regarding wetsuit use will be made on race morning based on the official measurement at 6:00 on August 16, 2026.

The race will start according to the original schedule. There will be no changes to the start times due to the expected high temperatures.

Due to the anticipated warm weather, we have prepared a cooling protocol in accordance with IRONMAN procedures. This includes additional water stations, showers, ice distribution, increased medical staff, and other measures to help ensure athletes' safety.

However, there is also a lot you can do yourself to prepare. Start hydrating properly before the race, and regularly replenish fluids and electrolytes. In the days leading up to the race, try to stay in the shade as much as possible, avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, and take extra care in the heat.

Before collecting your race pack, please have the following ready:

📱 Your QR code, which was sent to you by email. You can also find it in your SlotMarket account under Registration History.
🪪 A valid national ID card or passport.

ℹ️ Each athlete must collect their race pack in person. It is not possible to collect a race pack on behalf of another athlete. For relay teams, one team member may collect the race packs for the entire team.

⚠️ Please also be aware of the risks associated with unofficial entry resales. Each registration is linked to the name shown on the start list, and the athlete’s identity will be verified using their national ID card or passport. The race pack will therefore not be issued to anyone other than the registered athlete.

Make use of the 50-metre swimming pool on Sunday, located just 200 metres from the race start.🏊‍♂️

The pool facility will open at 6:30. Athletes can use the toilets, changing rooms and showers free of charge throughout the day.🚿

Warm-up swimming will be available from 6:50 to 9:15, and wetsuits are permitted. Come and get ready for the swim before your race!🙌

From Wednesday to Tuesday, athletes can also enjoy a 20% discount on regular pool admission. Simply prove that you are participating in the race by showing your QR code, race bib, athlete wristband or City Quest card. 🎟️
