Need a small favour 🫣😅 ( maybe two)
This book got to No.5 on the Amazon Chart Steampunk books for YA..
The author is this grumpy old Scottish man who would DEEPLY appreciate it if got to No 4 or 3 🤣
Also, its doing well but a lack of REVIEWS is bugging his happiness. Would anyone be up for writing a positive review? ( Just need an amazon account no need to buy it) MAYBE commenting how handsome the author is?
Link is here, no worries if not , its just abit of fun 🤣

Huge thanks btw ♥️

Welcome to your fitness journey, where the only thing standing between you and your best self is... well, probably the couch, but we’ve got that covered! If you’re in your 30s to 50s, chances are you’ve tried every diet known to humankind, and let’s face it—your workout routine has probably consisted of chasing the kids, running errands, or, you know, pretending to stretch while reaching for the TV remote.
But fear not, because we’re here to make fitness fun, accessible, and—dare we say it—life-changing. Whether you're just starting out or getting back into the swing of things, we promise we won't make you do burpees (unless you're into that sort of thing). It’s time to kickstart your transformation with workouts and advice that work for real people, not professional athletes. So, grab your sneakers (or fuzzy slippers, we’re not judging), and let's crush your goals—one small, achievable step at a time! Ready? Let’s do this!

So every year I post a comparison photo (2 years now) 🤣 Keeps me motivated 🤪 This year I posted on my fitness W.A group a few things that i hope will help others or relate to. 😘:
What was your heaviest weight?
125-130kgish got down to 85kg at smallest.
How did you start?
Changed jobs, relocated and started walking everywhere.
Most impactful change?
Slowly removing bread and pasta from my diet.
Biggest surprise?
The Tai Chi philosophy of needing 100 days to build a good habit or foundation. After 100 days its just becomes normal.
Hardest Part?
Ignoring the negativity of others was hard. But not allowing anyone to influence my decisions ,like when and what i should eat. Blocking all voices out regardless.
How I stayed motivated?
Setting small ,easy , short term goals that help you achieve your overall long term goal.
Where do you work out?
Only outside or at home. I went to the gym maybe 6 -12 times in two years. Mostly in Summer camp when i didnt have my own gear.
What difficulties did you face with family / friends:
All very supportive , my biggest challenge is/was with meeting new people. Everyone makes assumptions about you based on looks( its normal) but inside I'm still a dork that likes gaming, history and art. 🫣
Biggest mental challenges?:
Probably confidence. Still i doubt myself and just because you work out a bit it doesn't mean ur ego/ confidence goes up with it. I still use humour and self deprecation too much 🫣
Best advice you can give?
Do it for you. Sounds selfish but it isn't.
Find motivation in friends or online professionals. ( Someone who can relate to is helpful)
Never ever give up. No matter what happens personally , professionally or financially ( trust me i’ve been through it all) If you have your health, you will bounce back better after such hardships and working out is a good distraction.
Funniest observations?
Kids at school and my daughter copying my Calisthenics , esp the boys showing off their biceps after to me 🤣
Women approaching you more is kinda nice too 😍
5 simple facts?
It’s not genetics, it's inherited bad habits.
There is no replacement for good sleep and water.
Age doesnt matter, if this old dog can do it you can.
You need to get used to going to sleep a bit hungry.
Comparison , is the thief of joy.
