HOW DID I GET RID OFF MY BACK ISSUES?

For many years, I was facing difficulties with my back. Most of my life I did office jobs, i.e. was sitting almost the whole day. I did various activities such as running, dancing, hiking, exercising in a gym in order to balance my sitting life-style. Though my issues with back were constantly appearing. A few times I experienced a COMPLETE BLOCKAGE, when I simply could not straighten my back and move properly. I ended up having a standing table at work as I could not manage to sit for several hours any more and slowly accepted that fact that back issues are going to be part of my life.

During a yoga retreat in Thailand, I met a yoga therapist, who advised me to change MY BREATHING STYLE as that was the root cause of my back issues. At that point I didn’t believe in any connection between my breathing and my spine troubles. Though I was doing what he said. Little by little I started to feel less tension in my back. But a few months later another back blockage came. At that time, I was an active ashtanga practitioner but as everything back then I did also yoga pretty harshly, i.e. as much physical and exhausting practice as possible.

Later during my stay in India, I ended up taking YOGA THERAPY teacher training. Initially I was bored by LITTLE MOVEMENTS AND SIMPLE PRACTICES we did. But soon I discovered their beauty and most importantly the fact that they really work. I moved my attention from hard-core practices to simple movements. And my old friend back pain silently disappeared.
Thanks to this lesson I understood the power of simplicity, respect and love. SIMPLE TECHNIQUES, RESPECTING OWN BODY AND LOVING SELF is therefore a style that I share with my clients.
