Mezinárodní šachový turnaj Teplice Open 2026 zná své vítěze.

Ve dnech 13. - 21. června 2026 se v Sportaréně Teplice uskutečnil již 19. ročník mezinárodního šachového turnaje Teplice Open. Turnaj patří od roku 2006 mezi tradiční mezinárodní šachové akce ve střední Evropě a Teplice, nejstarší lázeňské město ve střední Evropě, mu poskytují jedinečné zázemí. Hráči tak mohou šachový zážitek kombinovat s relaxací v našem lázeňském měste Teplice. nejstarších lázních ve Stmístních lázních. Loňský ročník přivítal více než 270 hráčů ze 37 zemí světa.

Turnaj pořádaný místním šachovým klubem Teplice Ches Club přilákal hráče z více jak 27 zemí celého světa. Ředitelem turnaje byl Milan Maščák a hlavním rozhodčím IA Rastislav Diviak ze Slovenska. Hrálo se na 9. kol ve třech hlavních skupinách, kdy výsledky jsou zařazovány do ratingu FIDE i českého národního žebříčku LOK ČR.
Slavnostní vyhlášení výsledků se uskutečnilo 21. června v Sportaréně Teplice. Za Statutární město Teplice se ho zúčastnil náměstek primátora pro kulturu a sport Bc. Petr Kohout a ředitel Sportarény Teplice pan Pavel Tetřev.
Podívejme se na hodnocení samostatných skupin:

Skupina A:

Skupinu A, určenou hráčům s nejvyšším ratingem, ovládl český hráč IM Jan Vykouk, který nasbíral 8 bodů z 9. Prvním nasazeným byl litevský GM Paulius Pultinevicius, a roli favorita potvrdil, jen mu výsledek na první příčku nestačil. Skončil druhý se 7,5 bodu. Třetí místo a titul nejlepší hráčky turnaje vybojovala kanadská WGM Maili-Jade Ouellet se 7 body a zároveň splnila normu na titul mezinárodní mistr (IM). Z hlediska překvapení byl největším pozitivním překvapením indický junior Dumir Vihaan, nasazený až jako 60., který skončil na 13. místě, skok o 47 příček. Podobně se přes velkou část startovního pole prodral polský junior Sergey Borischik (nasazení 37., výsledek 9. místo, +28 míst). Titul nejlepší ženy turnaje získala WGM Maili-Jade Ouellet z Kanady se 7 body, nejlepším hráčem do 18 let byl CM Sergey Borischik z Polska se 6 body.

Skupina B:

Skupinu B pro hráče s nižším ratingem ovládl čtrnáctiletý AIM Dominic Czarnuch z Anglie se skvělými 7,5 bodu z 9. Přitom byl nasazen teprve jako osmý, výsledkem se tak vyšvihl o sedm příček. Druhý skončil první nasazený Čech Antonín Friml se 7 body, bronz si odvezl ukrajinský junior Bogdan Hlynsky* s 6,5 bodu. Největším překvapením skupiny B byla ukrajinská hráčka Mariia Yakymakha, nasazená jako 27., která skončila na 5. místě, skok o 22 příček. Pozoruhodný výkon podal také Němec Gustav Rauschhardt (nasazení 17., výsledek 4. místo). Nejlepší ženou skupiny B se stala Mariia Yakymakha z Ukrajiny se 6 body. Mezi juniory kraloval Bogdan Hlynsky z Ukrajiny (do 18 let, 6,5 bodu), Linda Slívová z České republiky (do 16 let, 5,5 bodu), Dominic Czarnuch z Anglie jako celkový vítěz skupiny (do 14 let, 7,5 bodu), Ellen Topencíková z České republiky (do 12 let, 5 bodů) a Sofija Belovska ze Severní Makedonie (do 10 let, 4 body).

Skupina S50+:

Seniorskou skupinu S50+, určenou hráčům narozeným v roce 1976 nebo dříve, vyhrál první nasazený britský velmistr GM Keith C. Arkell (Anglie) se 7 body z 9, jeden z mála případů, kdy nasazená jednička dovedla turnaj k vítězství. Druhé místo obsadil belgický FM Helmut Froeyman se 6,5 bodu, třetí skončil Dán Jan Nordenbaek se 6 body. Největší skok zaznamenal Slovák Jaroslav Olvecký, nasazený jako 31., který skončil na 18. místě (+13 míst), a Čech Libor Beroun (nasazení 23., výsledek 11. místo, +12 míst). Nejlepší ženou seniorské skupiny se stala WFM Marie Bažantová z České republiky se 4,5 bodu.

Doprovodný RAPID:

Doprovodný rapid turnaj skončil třícestnou remízou na prvním místě, vše rozhodlo pomocné hodnocení. Celkovým vítězem se stal teprve čtrnáctiletý CM Aytug Celal Salci z Turecka. Na druhém místě se stejným skóre 7 bodů skončil IM Valentyn Prokofiev z Ukrajiny, třetí příčku obsadila FM Megan Althea Paragua z USA. Nejlepší ženou i nejlepší hráčkou do 12 let se stala FM Megan Althea Paragua z USA se 7 body, která zároveň skončila třetí celkově. Nejlepším hráčem do 18 let byl druhý v celkovém pořadí IM Valentyn Prokofiev z Ukrajiny se 7 body. Kategorii do 16 let ovládl CM Sergey Borischik z Polska se 6 body a kategorii do 14 let celkový vítěz CM Aytug Celal Salci z Turecka se 7 body.

The Teplice Open 2026 International Chess Tournament has its winners.

The 19th annual Teplice Open international chess tournament took place from June 13 to 21, 2026, in the Teplice Sport Arena. The tournament has been one of the traditional international chess events in Central Europe since 2006, and Teplice, the oldest spa town in Central Europe, provides a unique backdrop. Players can combine a chess experience with relaxation in our spa town of Teplice. the oldest spa in Stmístné Lázně. Last year's edition welcomed more than 270 players from 37 countries around the world.

The tournament, organized by the local chess club Teplice Ches Club, attracted players from more than 27 countries around the world. The tournament director was Milan Maščák and the main arbiter IA Rastislav Diviak from Slovakia. The 9th round was played in three main groups, where the results are included in the FIDE rating and the Czech national ranking LOK ČR.
The ceremonial announcement of the results took place on June 21 in the Sportaréna Teplice. The Statutory City of Teplice was represented by the Deputy Mayor for Culture and Sports Bc. Petr Kohout and the Director of the Sportaréna Teplice Mr. Pavel Tetřev.
Let's look at the evaluation of the individual groups:

Group A:

Group A, intended for players with the highest rating, was dominated by the Czech player IM Jan Vykouk, who collected 8 points out of 9. The first seed was the Lithuanian GM Paulius Pultinevicius, and he confirmed his role as a favorite, but his result was not enough for him to take first place. He finished second with 7.5 points. Third place and the title of the best player of the tournament was won by Canadian WGM Maili-Jade Ouellet with 7 points and at the same time fulfilled the norm for the title of International Master (IM). In terms of surprises, the biggest positive surprise was Indian junior Dumir Vihaan, seeded 60th, who finished in 13th place, a jump of 47 places. Similarly, Polish junior Sergey Borischik (seeded 37th, result 9th place, +28 places) made his way through a large part of the starting field. The title of the best woman of the tournament was won by WGM Maili-Jade Ouellet from Canada with 7 points, the best player under 18 was CM Sergey Borischik from Poland with 6 points.

Group B:

Group B for players with lower ratings was dominated by 14-year-old AIM Dominic Czarnuch from England with an excellent 7.5 points out of 9. He was only seeded eighth, and as a result he jumped seven places. The first seeded Czech Antonín Friml finished second with 7 points, while the bronze medal went to Ukrainian junior Bogdan Hlynsky* with 6.5 points. The biggest surprise in Group B was Ukrainian player Mariia Yakymakha, seeded 27th, who finished in 5th place, a jump of 22 places. A remarkable performance was also given by German Gustav Rauschhardt (seeded 17th, result 4th place). The best woman in Group B was Mariia Yakymakha from Ukraine with 6 points. The juniors were dominated by Bogdan Hlynsky from Ukraine (under 18, 6.5 points), Linda Slívová from the Czech Republic (under 16, 5.5 points), Dominic Czarnuch from England as the overall group winner (under 14, 7.5 points), Ellen Topencíková from the Czech Republic (under 12, 5 points) and Sofija Belovska from North Macedonia (under 10, 4 points).

Group S50+:

The senior group S50+, intended for players born in 1976 or earlier, was won by the first seeded British Grandmaster GM Keith C. Arkell (England) with 7 points out of 9, one of the few cases where the first seed led the tournament to victory. Second place was taken by Belgian FM Helmut Froeyman with 6.5 points, and third place was taken by Dane Jan Nordenbaek with 6 points. The biggest jump was recorded by Slovak Jaroslav Olvecký, seeded 31st, who finished in 18th place (+13 places), and Czech Libor Beroun (seeded 23rd, result 11th place, +12 places). The best woman in the senior group was WFM Marie Bažantová from the Czech Republic with 4.5 points.

Accompanying RAPID:

The accompanying rapid tournament ended in a three-way tie for first place, everything was decided by the auxiliary rating. The overall winner was just 14-year-old CM Aytug Celal Salci from Turkey. IM Valentyn Prokofiev from Ukraine finished in second place with the same score of 7 points, and FM Megan Althea Paragua from the USA took third place. The best woman and the best player under 12 years old was FM Megan Althea Paragua from the USA with 7 points, who also finished third overall. The best player under 18 years old was IM Valentyn Prokofiev from Ukraine with 7 points. The under 16 category was won by CM Sergey Borischik from Poland with 6 points, and the under 14 category was won by the overall winner CM Aytug Celal Salci from Turkey with 7 points.

TEPLICE OPEN 2026 tough fight on the 1st board

In the 5th round, the tournament moved into the second half, and there was a full fight on all boards. In the "A" tournament, two 100% players Pultininevicius and Vykouk faced each other on the 1st board and it was something to watch. White sacrificed 2 pawns for activity. The decisive mistake in the game came much later, when in the position Black played 34…Qh5 and after 37.Qf5 he surrendered. In the Gibala-Topenčík game, Black did not play the French at all badly, only in the position he should have played the move 13…f6. In the endgame, White led the game to victory without hesitation. A non-standard position arose in the Sengupta-Heinrich game, when Black tried to solve problems with the attacked bishop. After playing 21.Qc2, a deadly threat arose in the position 22.Qc3!, so Black said goodbye to the central pawn and it started to get dark over the Black king, after further moves Black surrendered. Ranking after the 5th round: 1. Pultinevicius 5b, 2.-3. Quellet and Gibala each 4.5b, 4.-6. Vykouk, Sengupta and Llaneya Vega each 4b. In the "B" tournament, in the Hlynsky-Koper game, Black failed to establish the game, he was already in a bad position in the diagram, his attempt to gain counterplay on the queenside failed and Black even lost the queen and, despite further resistance, the whole game. Ranking after the 5th round: 1. Hlynsky 4.5b, 2.-6. Pešková, Slívová, Ringsmose, Czarnuch and Godla each 4b. In the "S50" tournament, only Keith Arkell (with Mitkov) won his game at the top of the tournament, which made him stand alone in 1st place with 4.5b, in 2nd place is Schmidt (after a draw with Wenner) with 4b and in 3rd-9th place with 3.5 are Nordenbaek, Mitkov, Večeřa, Wenner, Dunnington, Froeyman and Jaksjland.

TEPLICE OPEN 2026 - clash of favorites

The spectators finally got to see the clash of favorites, and what a sight to behold! In the ‘A’ tournament, GM Štoček and GM Pultinevicius faced each other on the 1st chessboard, and Black decided to sharpen his position with a Tal move before the approaching time pressure. Few would have bet on the white king, but objectively Black was not in a better position and after 28…Jh1! 2 checkmates were threatened – on f2 and g3, 29.Je2 happened and with the move 29…Qf2 White got checkmate. GM Sengupta and IM Vykouk also did not fare well on the 2nd chessboard, at first he was very lucky in the position, when Vykouk did not play the inhuman 22…Nxd4!!. Another critical moment occurred on the 27th move, when White, true to his dynamic style, which he demonstrates here in the tournament, did not play 27.Vxd2. In the end, the game was decided by the black pawns. White showed a pure positional performance in the Topenčík-Dahl game, when he established the game on the black central two-pawn and with each subsequent exchange his weakness became more pronounced and subsequently won the game. Ranking after the 4th round: 1st-2nd Pultinevicius and Vykouk each with 4b, 3rd-6th Gibala, Ouellet, Topenčík and Juhaňák each with 3.5b, in the group with 3b there are also grandmasters Štoček, Sengupta and Womacka. In the "B" tournament, the advantage in the queen against the rook endgame was realized in the Pešková-Hlynsky game, which White failed to win. The players must have felt like they were on a seesaw in the Ringsmose-Eckelt game, in which White quickly gained a decisive advantage and Black also had very little time from the 25th move, which ultimately cost him a whole point. Ranking after round 4: 1st-5th Pešková, Slívová, Hlynsky, Koper and Rauschhardt each with 3.5 points.
In the "S50" tournament, favorites Mitkov and Arkell won their games against Wenner and Večeřa and returned to the top of the tournament, Schmidt joined them with a victory over Nordenbaek, all have 3.5 points, closely followed by a 3-point group consisting of Wenner, Froeyman, Dunnington and Bosbach.

TEPLICE OPEN 2026 - round 3

The 3rd round in the “A” tournament was without any surprises on the front boards, although the games were extremely competitive. On the 1st board in the Pultinevicius-Llaneza Vega game, just before Black's approaching time pressure, the position was in dynamic equilibrium, but Black found out that he had to surrender material and had to bow his king. From the Rudnev-Štoček game, in which the Czech grandmaster sacrificed a pawn in the opening for a “Volga” compensation and later added another one, however, White avoided all pitfalls until the 34th move, where he lost a piece and surrendered. In the lead are 5 players with 3 points: Vykouk, Gibala, Sengupta, Pultinevicius and Štoček, followed by 7 players with 2.5 points. In the “B” tournament, White showed a nice positional performance in the game Hlynsky-Ringsmose, where in the position on the diagram Black neglected to play 13…h6 and played an early 13…d5. The two-pawn became a source of problems, Black was unable to solve this by the end of the game and lost the game. In the last demonstration today, in the game Slívová-Vaic, White moved in “London” waters, but in the end realized the advantage of the knight over the bad archer and won. The table in the “B” tournament is thus led with full points by the foursome Pešková, Slívová, Hlynsky and Rauschhardt, followed with a half-point loss by the th*****me Mrkvan, Koper and Eckelt. In the "S50" tournament, there was a whirlwind of draws, with 14 out of 23 games ending in a tie, and this was reflected in the standings, with Wenner taking the lead with a full score, followed by a 6-member group with 2.5 points: Arkell, Večeřa, Schmidt, Mitkov, Nordenbaek and Nielsen.

TEPLICE OPEN 2026 - 2nd round

In Sunday's second round in the "A" tournament, the favorites at the top tables confirmed their superiority, although it was not so easy on the chessboard. In the Schmitz-Pultinevicius game, White gained a certain advantage in a non-standard Sicilian, then had to prevent an imminent checkmate. After exchanging queens, he went into the endgame with one more pawn, but a stray knight, whose rescue was ultimately too expensive and Black gradually realized his advantage. On the second chessboard in the Sengupta-Harish game, White did not hesitate for a moment and decided to sacrifice in the position. His opponent accepted it and on the 32nd move, Black had to surrender. Even in the "B" tournament, all the favorites did well, in the short games Hellinger-Mrkvan and Zebisch-Koper the favorites probably did not like to draw in slightly worse positions and so 8 players have the full number of points, among which are Sára Pešková and Linda Slívová. In the "S50+" tournament, the 8-member group is at the head with the full number, in which the biggest favorite GM Keith Arkell and the Czech representative Pavel Večeřa are not missing.

After a year of waiting, we finally got there and the spa town of Teplice welcomed the participants of the 19th annual international tournament, which will take place from June 13th to June 21st, 2026. The festival includes 3 tournaments: Open A (ELO>2099), Open B (ELO

Peparations are in full swing at the Teplice Sports Hall for the 19th annual Teplice Open chess tournament, organized by the Teplice Chess Club. The tournament will take place from June 13–21 and will feature three competitive categories as well as a side rapid tournament. This event is traditionally one of the most significant international chess tournaments in the Czech Republic. As in previous years, a high level of international participation is expected. Currently, 250 players from around the world have registered. Interestingly, the number of participants from India is nearly the same as the number of registered Czech players. The chess players traveling the farthest will arrive from Argentina, the USA, and Canada, which only confirms the truly international character of the entire event. The top seed is currently Lithuanian Grandmaster Paulius Pultinevicius, while the highest-seeded Czech player is Grandmaster and multiple national team member Jiří Štoček. During the tournament, you can look forward to live broadcasts on the Teplice Chess Club YouTube channel as well as a simultaneous exhibition match with the American cadet world champion in her age category, the talented Megan Paragua. Ve Sportovní hale v Teplicích vrcholí přípravy na 19. ročník šachového turnaje Teplice Open, který pořádá Teplice Chess Club. Turnaj se uskuteční ve dnech 13.–21. června a nabídne tři soutěžní kategorie i jeden doprovodný rapid turnaj. Tato akce tradičně patří mezi nejvýznamnější mezinárodní šachové turnaje v České republice. Stejně jako v předchozích letech se očekává vysoká zahraniční účast. V současné době je přihlášeno 250 hráčů z celého světa. Zajímavostí je, že počet účastníků z Indie je téměř stejný jako počet přihlášených českých hráčů. Nejvzdálenější šachisté dorazí z Argentiny, USA a Kanady, což jen potvrzuje skutečně mezinárodní charakter celé akce. Prvním nasazeným je aktuálně litevský velmistr Paulius Pultinevicius, zatímco nejvýše nasazeným českým hráčem je velmistr a několikanásobný reprezentant Jiří Štoček.

Teplice Chess Club and TV DAKR: Together we bring chess closer to the public.

During this year's Spa Season in Teplice, Teplice Chess Club established a successful cooperation with the regional television station TV DAKR, the result of which is a processed video shot presenting the promotion and activities of the club at one of the most important social events in our spa town of Teplice. The aim of the cooperation was to capture chess in its natural environment among people and to show that this sport is not intended only for tournament players, but can appeal to all generations. During the event, the camera crew documented not only the games themselves, but also the interest of visitors, the work of club members and the unique atmosphere that accompanied the presentation of Teplice Chess Club. The resulting reportage represents a modern way of promoting the sport of chess and allows reaching the general public even outside the venue of the event. "The media plays a key role in popularizing the sport these days. We greatly appreciate the cooperation with TV DAKR, which was able to capture not only the course of the event, but also the idea that we are trying to convey to the public, that chess is open to everyone, regardless of age or experience. Cooperation with TV DAKR is another step in the club's long-term effort to present chess in a modern and attractive way. Video content today represents one of the most effective communication tools and allows us to bring the chess community closer to a wider audience. At the same time, the report captures the energy, enthusiasm and friendly atmosphere that are characteristic of Teplice Chess Club.

Teplice Chess Club navázal během letošní Lázeňské sezóny v Teplicích úspěšnou spolupráci s regionální televizí TV DAKR, jejímž výsledkem je zpracovaný videošot představující propagaci a činnost klubu na jedné z nejvýznamnějších společenských akcí v našem lázeňském městě Teplice. Cílem spolupráce bylo zachytit šachy v jejich přirozeném prostředí mezi lidmi a ukázat, že tento sport není určen pouze turnajovým hráčům, ale dokáže oslovit všechny generace. Kamerový štáb během akce dokumentoval nejen samotné partie, ale také zájem návštěvníků, práci členů klubu a jedinečnou atmosféru, která provázela prezentaci Teplice Chess Club. Vzniklá reportáž představuje moderní způsob propagace šachového sportu a umožňuje oslovit širokou veřejnost i mimo samotné místo konání akce. „Média hrají v dnešní době klíčovou roli při popularizaci sportu. Teplice Chess Club brought the royal game to the public. The chess simulcast at Lázeňská 2026 appealed to all generations.

The opening of the 872nd spa season transformed Teplice into a center of culture, traditions, and social life on the last weekend of May. The three-day festivities attracted thousands of visitors to the spa town, who enjoyed a rich musical and accompanying program on several stages in the city center. The program also included a chess simulant organized by the Teplice Chess Club, which became one of the attractive points of the Saturday and Sunday program on the colonnade of the House of Culture.

Representatives of the chess club, led by Jan Václavík and the young talent Ondra Studnička, presented themselves on twenty chessboards for both days, inviting the public to play games as part of the popular simulant. Visitors had the opportunity to compete with experienced players regardless of age or performance. The organizer had prepared nice souvenirs for the children. For the smallest in the stroller there was a balloon with the club logo, for schoolchildren a key chain and a pencil with the logo. And those who were interested in visiting the club and starting training with us received a fridge magnet with contact information so they wouldn't forget the right direction 😊. The club also presented new club T-shirts with promotion and advertising of partners. The whole event was part of the program Opening of the spa season, where Teplice Chess Club has been operating in Teplice for several years.

"Our goal was not only to "play" a chess simulcast, but above all to show that chess is an active sport and fun for everyone. We were very pleased with the interest of children, parents and seniors who stopped by the chess boards, discussed and often wanted to try a game themselves,” said the organizers from Teplice Chess Club.
The intergenerational nature of the event was one of its greatest benefits. Beginners, recreational players and experienced chess players took turns at the chess boards. Many visitors remembered their first chess steps, others encountered the game for the first time. The atmosphere on the colonnade was friendly and open throughout the day, which perfectly fit the spirit of the entire spa festival.

Teplice Chess Club has long been striving to popularize chess in our region and support youth work. Recruiting new young players was one of the main goals of this year's club presentation during the Spa Festival. Children and their parents received information about training options, club activities and planned tournaments.
The successful presentation during the Opening of the 872nd Spa Season confirmed that chess has its strong place. Teplice Chess Club thus continued the tradition of combining sports, education and community life and once again showed that the royal game can unite people across generations.

The ceremonial opening of the 872nd spa season took place from May 29 to 31, 2026 and offered visitors dozens of concerts, a historical program, family activities and many accompanying events that transformed the center of Teplice into one of the largest cultural events in the region.

Teplice Chess Club přivedl královskou hru mezi veřejnost. Šachová simultánka na Lázeňské 2026 oslovila všechny generace.
Zahájení 872. lázeňské sezóny proměnilo poslední květnový víkend Teplice v centrum kultury, tradic a společenského života. Třídenní slavnosti přilákaly do lázeňského města tisíce návštěvníků, kteří si užili bohatý hudební i doprovodný program na několika scénách v centru města. Součástí programu byla také šachová simultánka pořádaná Teplice Chess Club (Šachový klub Teplice), která se stala jedním z atraktivních bodů sobotního a nedělního programu na kolonádě Domu kultury.

Na dvaceti šachovnicích se po oba dny představili zástupci šachového klubu v čele s Janem Václavíkem a mladým talentem Ondrou Studničkou, kteří vyzvali veřejnost k partiím v rámci populární simultánky. Návštěvníci měli možnost poměřit své síly se zkušenými hráči bez ohledu na věk či výkonnost. Pro děti měl pořadatel připraveny pěkné upomínkové předměty. Pro nejmenší v kočárku byl balónek s logem klubu, pro školáky klíčenka a tužka s logem. A ten, kdo měl zájem se do klubu podívat a začít s námi trénovat dostal magnet na lednici s kontaktem, aby nezapomněl správný směr 😊. Klub také prezentoval nová klubová trička s propagací a reklamou partnerů. Celá akce byla součástí programu Zahájení lázeňské sezóny, kde Teplice Chess Club funguje v Teplicích již několik let.

„Naším cílem nebylo pouze „odehrát“ šachovou simultánku, ale především ukázat, že šachy jsou aktivním sportem a zábavou pro každého. Velmi nás potěšil zájem dětí, rodičů i seniorů, kteří se u šachovnic zastavovali, diskutovali a často si sami chtěli partii vyzkoušet,“ uvedli organizátoři z Teplice Chess Club.
Právě mezigenerační charakter akce patřil k jejím největším přínosům. U šachovnic se střídali začátečníci, rekreační hráči i zkušení šachisté. Mnozí návštěvníci si připomněli své první šachové kroky, jiní se se hrou setkali vůbec poprvé. Atmosféra na kolonádě byla po celý den přátelská a otevřená, což dokonale zapadalo do ducha celé lázeňské slavnosti.

Teplice Chess Club dlouhodobě usiluje o popularizaci šachu v našem regionu a podporu práce s mládeží. Právě nábor nových mladých hráčů byl jedním z hlavních cílů letošní prezentace klubu během Lázeňské. Děti i jejich rodiče získali informace o možnostech tréninku, klubové činnosti i plánovaných turnajích.
Úspěšná prezentace během Zahájení 872. lázeňské sezóny potvrdila, že šachy mají v Teplicích své pevné místo. Teplice Chess Club tak navázal na tradici spojování sportu, vzdělávání a komunitního života a opět ukázal, že královská hra dokáže spojovat lidi napříč generacemi.

Slavnostní Zahájení 872. lázeňské sezóny proběhlo od 29. do 31. května 2026 a nabídlo návštěvníkům desítky koncertů, historický program, rodinné aktivity i množství doprovodných akcí, které proměnily centrum Teplic v jednu z největších kulturních událostí regionu.
Teplice Chess Club děkuje všem návštěvníkům, hráčům, rodičům i partnerům za účast a těší se na další společná setkání nad šachovnicí.
