What a 🍑 of a weekend at Road Atlanta in GT World Challenge America!

It was a banner weekend for the Vintage 423 Mercedes-AMG GT3, as Jason Daskalos led the charge, and took his first podium of the season along with co-driver Philip Ellis with an overall win!! It was even sweeter that Jason’s family was in attendance, and Papou Daskalos was on the podium to receive the trophy!

The 27 car qualified 3rd in PRO-AM class and 8th overall on the grid on Saturday. Jason started the race P8, but the team made a great strategy call of starting on slicks, so as everyone pitted for slicks, Jason cycled to the front and maintained P1 overall for 14 laps.

Jason drove a strong stint and stayed at the pointy end of the field. After executing a good pit stop and driver change, Philip took it home for the overall win!

The Car 34 STAHLWILLE, Outlaw Light Mercedes-AMG GT3 of Mik Grenier and Michai Stephens qualified P2 on Saturday. Michai started the race and made a pass for the lead on the first lap and maintained that until lap 10. Both Michai and Mik kept the car near the front of the field, and then on lap 78, Mik regained the lead. He maintained that lead almost until the end. Mik and Michai ended the race P2 in PRO class.

Huge thanks to the tech crew, tire crew and engineering crew who toughed out the heat and thunderstorms (and everything else thrown their way) and never missed a beat!

For now, we roll out of Hotlanta, head back to the shop, and prep for the next round in the Badger State at Road America! ✌️

The only thing that was higher than the temperature and humidity at Road Atlanta was the vibe!! 🌡️🥵😎

It was a busy weekend, which started with TC America. We ran 3 cars in TC America, with the addition of the Middletown Toyota GR Corolla of James Klimas. The TC weekend consisted of a race on Friday, and a race on Saturday.

Braydon Arthur in the STAHWILLE / CieloVision / Outlaw Light GR Corolla ended up with victory in both races! Jesse Dorkin in the JMF Motorsports / Emprouen Advisors GR Corolla had a challenging start to the weekend, but drove well and ended up 7th and 8th, respectively, in the races. JMF newcomer James Klimas, in the Middletown Toyota GR Corolla, drove clean all weekend, making progress each session, and ended his weekend on the podium with the Superfuel Hard Charger award after gaining the most positions in Race 2! 🏆

A big thanks again goes out to the team at Toyota who never hesitate to jump in and help us in times of need! Thanks to our great partners STAHLWILLE, CieloVision, Outlaw Light and FreeM for their support! Finally, thanks to our JMF crew who never stop even when the hits keep on coming 😆

At least Mother Nature kept it dry on the track for us, because she made us pay for it during packup, when the skies opened! Lightning, winds and sideways rain made us work for it and made the packup a little more adventurous 😬

After we dry out, we will see y’all in Wisconsin for the next TC rounds at Road America!

It was a challenging day today at Road Atlanta, where the JMF TC America team of Braydon Arthur, Jesse Dorkin and James Klimas completed 2 practice sessions and their qualifying session.

The crew were flat out from the first green flag, and in the end, the team was rewarded by a Pole Position by Braydon!

Braydon, Jesse and James had promising sessions and are all ready to fight for positions in Race 1 tomorrow at 10:35am ET!

Sebring was a tough one this weekend in TC America for Braydon Arthur and Jesse Dorkin in the GR Corollas. We did the best we could, given the tools at our disposal, but it just was not our weekend.

We were mid-pack in Practice 1. Then first and second in Practice 2. In Qualifying, all we had was P5 and P8.

Race 1 saw Jesse as the lone Toyota taking the checkered flag, as Braydon had issues on the first lap and retired the car.

In Race 2, Jesse started in 9th and Braydon started at the back. Braydon was carving through the field when he had unintentional contact with another car, and damaged the front end and radiator, thus causing another retirement.

Thanks to the ever-supportive Toyota crew, for all their help!! It was not the weekend we were hoping for, and certainly not results reflective of our true capabilities, however, we are focusing forward to Road Atlanta in June!

To quote a great band… “Sometimes you are the Louisville Slugger….sometimes you are the ball!”

That summed up the Sebring weekend for the #34 Mercedes-AMG! Strong all weekend, the 34 Car of Michai Stephens and Mikael Grenier ran strong every session and took the overall pole in qualifying.

Michai took the start and held strong with the lead! Executing clean pit stops and driver change, they kept a commanding lead until close to the end of the race….

The oil cooler split open and immediately set fire on the headers, causing Mik to have to stop on track and, ultimately, retire from the race.

It was a gut-wrenching parts failure that underminded all the meticulous preparation, driving and pit ex*****on of the team.

Let the sun set on Sebring Raceway….. we will return to Road Atlanta just as strong as always!!!

Podium for the Car 27 Vintage423 Mercedes-AMG in the PRO-AM class! It was a hard fought one for Jason Daskalos and Lorcan Hanafin!

They qualified 3rd, and Jason had an excellent start and took the lead. Jason maintained that pace and brought the car into the pits for a driver change in P1.

Lorcan maintained the lead as well, and increased an already strong gap, until the unfortunate demise of the sister 34 car. Upon the restart, Lorcan unfortunately got pushed off the track by another Mercedes, sending him to 4th place. Due to the penalty applied to the other car, the 27 car gained the 3rd spot.

Although bittersweet when the lead was in hand, the 27 car showed their strength and got their spot on the podium in the end!

On to Road Atlanta!!
