P5 in ST-X today in Autopolis – it isn’t what we were hoping for, but we never gave up and made the best of a tricky situation. took the start before holding over to , and we were holding steady in P5 in class and overall while challenging for P4 at the mid-way point.
Unfortunately, this is when a ran into a technical issue. We came into the garage to try a repair and put the car back out, now with at the wheel, to try and capitalise on a few others going into garages and grab some points. Sadly, the issue persisted, so it was back to the garage for more repairs, which thanks to an awesome effort from the crew we were able to execute in time to complete our last compulsory driver change and 70 percent race distance, with Jeffrey taking us across the line.
While things didn’t go the way we wanted, we could not be more proud of our entire team – everyone dug deep and gave it their all. Now, we pack up, debrief, and get ready to put our best foot forward at Okayama for round six, October 24-25.
