𝗙𝗜𝗟 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀 attended the 𝗔𝗹𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 in Lyon earlier this week, chaired by 𝗜𝗢𝗖 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲-𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀-𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘂𝗷𝗮𝗻𝘁. "It was an important step in the right direction. Together with the other winter sports federations and the IOC, we confirmed that we share the same goal: successful Games for athletes and fans. What particularly encourages me is the new quality of this collaboration. International federations are to be closely involved from the very beginning, taking decisions jointly with the IOC and its partners. This is more than a wish – it is the direction we are moving in together", commented 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀.

A new rule gives the host nation 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 to compete at its home Luge World Cup.

𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 – but not at every home event – the 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 can enter 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 in Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles and Women's Doubles.

The extra quota does not extend to the Team Relay or Mixed Singles & Doubles events.
