Berlin School of Sound

Sounds from a Listening Body is a three-month intensive for vocalists, composers, and performers seeking to dismantle perfectionism and performance anxiety.

Rooted in Black ontological frameworks, trauma-informed somatic care, and deep listening, this course treats the voice as a resonant archive. We begin by unlearning the constraints of traditional training — moving from ancestral body noise and embodied ecologies into experimental sonic composition. By engaging the analog body before touching the digital interface, we explore the symbiotic relationship between the creator and their tools.

Whether you’re a classically trained musician looking for freedom, a “recovering” vocalist, or a sound artist curious about the intersection of movement and electronics, this process offers a space to cultivate resonance, unlock vocal potential, and build a cohesive body of original work.

Make Some Waves — Semester 01

Twelve weeks. Seven working Berlin artists. One finished track, mixed and performed live in front of an audience.

This is where sound design, Ableton production, modular synthesis, and game audio all come together — hands-on, from your first session to your final concert.
