The first women who finished a marathon - with a bib number - was Kathrine Switzer in 1967 at the Boston Marathon. We are happy to welcome her at this year’s BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. 🙌
It has been a long journey for women to be respected and officially accepted to participate in marathons. Today it is normal that women race marathons and ultra-marathons. 🙌
