Antony Föhrig wins double gold at the German Newcomer Nationals in the -110kg class 🥇🥇

The story behind this double win is remarkable. Antony had been developing a new favorite technique: the Flop Press. It was the only thing he focused on in training. Everyone told him he was pretty strong with it, but he still wasn’t sure if it would work in competition.

So nobody expected what came next.

He had a clear plan for his setup - and he executed it perfectly. His opponents weren’t prepared for that kind of press power. He won match after match all the way to the finals. There, with everything he had, he managed to win one last time from a defensive position to take the gold! 🔥

What a strong perfomance and comeback in the finals. After the last year, where he got 3rd place with both arms, he was even more motivated to get the title this year in 2025. The preparation turned out to be successful and he came out on top. We are proud of this young talent! 💪🏼
