This week, several long-term students came to Berlin to train.
Robin from Hannover — Level 4 completed.
Emmanuel from Lyon, France — Level 8. Final student level.
Waldemar from Trier. Martin from Switzerland. Both deep into Level 8 work.
They don't train here regularly.
They train at home. Alone. With the principles.
They use the structure. They revisit the fundamentals. They stay precise.
When they come here — it's not to restart.
It's to test. To refine. To go deeper under real contact.

Level 8 closes the student progression. The core is integrated. What follows is finer perception, not more volume.
Progress in this system doesn't require Berlin.
It requires structure. Consistency. And showing up - again and again.
Different cities. Different stages.
Same principles.
That's the work.

You think you understood it.

Important things are often said in passing. A short correction. A remark about weight. A sentence about tension.

You hear it. You nod. And training continues.
But movement doesn’t change just because you heard something.
In a live session, attention is divided. There are too many details at once. Some things stay. Some fade.

Our training videos exist for this reason.
To return to what was said once. To slow down what happened too fast. To give important details the time they need. Each video follows a specific level of our grading system - so nothing important gets lost between stages.

Because progress is not about doing more. It’s about overlooking less.

We speak a lot about principles.
About perception. About freedom in movement.
But how do you actually learn it?

Systema can look free. Almost unstructured from the outside.
But freedom does not grow from randomness. It grows from trained understanding. 

This is why we work with a defined grading system.
Not to collect ranks. But to make principles physically trainable.

From the very beginning we work on things like falling without tension, using body weight instead of muscle force, staying balanced under contact.

Because principles only become real when the body can apply them consistently.

This progression can be followed both in person and remotely.
To support it - especially for remote training - we created structured training videos.
