Return to Nature!
How does the practice of Wu Wei apply to the world of farming? How is the world of farming reflected in the practice of inner martial arts? How does the search for one's inner Nature connect with the search for the Nature around us?
I am excited to announce this very special upcoming project — or actually, I should call it a new area of Xuan!
For over 5 years we have been looking for the right place to make this dream a reality. And once again I learned: when you let go, it can come naturally.
The Xuan Gong Fu Academy — our full-time Academy here in Berlin — is all about education within an intensive framework, with the intention to open gates and to guide people as quickly as possible into progress, so they can take as much as possible onto their journey in a short time. It is about the challenge of finding quietness in the noise of the city, in order to build up abilities that can be applied no matter where students go.
Return to Nature will be the opposite. It will not be about fast progress, but about a lifestyle that guides students into balance over longer periods of time. Students will become part of our community, of our family, and explore together with us how self-sustainable farming and Gong Fu practice bring balance. It will be a place for special seminars, but also a place for students to stay and to make their home together with us.
It is a return home — a return back to Nature. To the inner Nature within us, and the one surrounding us.
More information will follow soon!

CONSTANT MOVEMENT of Tai Ji Quan
-A Teacher Training Excerpt-
No matter if for our body, our breath or our mind, constant movement is essential for a healthy life. Nature gives us the perfect role model — nothing ever stands still in the universe. Tai Ji Quan is the practice that reconnects us with our own cosmic energies, with our own nature. By doing so, we establish what I call constant movement.
Stagnation in our mind can lead to stagnation in our breath and body — and vice versa, stagnation in our body can also block our mind.
With the simple practice of flow in movement and in stillness, we reestablish the connection to our own constant movement.
This is an excerpt from our monthly Teacher Training Education — available both online and in presence here in Berlin. A systematic, long-term education in inner martial arts, Qi Gong and meditation.
The next opportunity to join us is this October. Pre-register in time — every year I have only limited space for new students to enter this journey with me!

In this excerpt from our weekly Gong Fu Online Class I show the development and usage of basic Spiral Skills.
It's all about how we can transmit movement from our center through the spine in three-dimensional ways, in order to finally create spiral motion with our core body as well as our periphery!

Why to fight?
In our Fighting Week 2026 we explored this big question together. While there might not be one answer, we tried to explore why fighting practice can be relevant even for internal martial artists and students who focus on inner cultivation rather than external fighting skills — and furthermore, why fighting and quiet practices are actually not so different.
The skills we need and the abilities we build up might not be as different as one thinks at the beginning. For us, fighting is the practice of looking for balance. The more we understand this art, the less we fight — and the more balance we create in and around us.
Join us next year when we repeat this by now yearly special tradition!

STEALING GONG FU - Basic Online Class Excerpt
One of the first and most important skills in Gong Fu is what we call “Tou Gong Fu.”
This term describes the ability to observe and copy movement. The more this skill develops, the easier it becomes to learn and adapt movement to one’s own body.
To learn more, join our regular online class. Every Wednesday at 17:00, we practice Gong Fu Basics together online at:

Friday evening sword training
Every year, once again, we take the leap — leaving, like Zhen Wu Da Li, our own inner kingdom in order to face what truly lives within us. On this path we may encounter the Five Dragons, just as Zhen Wu Da Li did on his journey to the North. His legend shows us a way of cultivating the Dao within ourselves, so that we may return to our own true nature.
The Black Dragon stands for our natural desires. How difficult it is to truly look at the habits that shape and control our daily lives. Food is deeply personal. Sleep feels non-negotiable. And yet, not all habits lead us toward balance and happiness. Often, they bind us. They chase us — like a dragon at our heels.
Some people run from these dragons. Others turn around and begin to mount them.
To mount a dragon rarely begins with joy. It usually starts with bitterness — with hunger, exhaustion, and the taste of failure. But this is how we learn. This is how Heaven slowly becomes part of our natural environment.
This year, thirteen students chose to walk this demanding path with me.
For two nights without sleep and three days without food, we turned around together and honestly observed what remains when so many beloved habits are taken away. It was not easy — and yet it was profoundly powerful. Many times I found myself on the edge of giving in, and then I looked around and saw eyes without doubt.
In this sense, I want to bow deeply and say thank you from the heart to everyone who joined.
And I want to invite all others to the next retreat at the beginning of 2027.
It will be the first retreat by me held in nature, in Bavaria. If you feel called, please preregister early — you will then receive all information as soon as we begin preparing.
