For me personally, February is an extremely emotional month.
On 03.02. I have birthday
On 04.02. our firstborn daughter died at the age of 11 months
On 13.02. was the funeral
On 14.02. is Valentine's Day
On 22.02. is / would be her birthday
Life, love and death are so incredibly close together.
In general, 2020 has been an up and down year - you could also call it a "Kensho and Satori" year. My wife and I have been through a lot and have grown from our tasks and challenges - thank God, unfortunately.
After our stroke of fate I started to question myself and my life and started to act - to deal with life & death, the universe & its laws and my personal growth.
What did this action look like in concrete terms?
I worked on myself and grew! I have invested a lot in myself personally and am incredibly grateful for people like Vishen Lakhiani, Ivan Nikolov, Bilgehan Bulut and many other people who have accompanied me on my way! Every single one of them inspired me and asked me the right questions in the right moments and meanwhile I can claim that I am absolutely the best version of myself. And this version gets regular updates and grows every day.
Why am I writing this?
Maybe to inspire or motivate. Or maybe just to share my story.
Loss doesn't always have to mean the loss of a loved one - loss is individual to everyone and it can also mean the loss of the job you love.
How should you deal with loss?
Grief or dealing with it is super individual and everyone is allowed to deal with it for as long as the individual needs time to do so. However, it is important not to lose faith! There are opportunities, great opportunities!
Please don't misunderstand - nothing and no one will ever be able to replace my daughter! I carry her in my heart.
But this loss has shown me how fleeting life is and I will leave no stone unturned to fulfill my purpose - whatever and however that may be. Whether as an employee or self-employed.
As I always say, "I can do anything - if you show me how first" & "the worst thing that can happen to you is that you succeed at it."
As a child I lost my father and as a father I lost my child - and I have grown from all of that, as I have with every other challenge in my life.
I share this message to motivate! I realized this as I was writing.
There will always be knockdowns, only if you stay down it becomes defeat. There will be new challenges and trials that we can and at best will overcome.
What did our "championship" look like - if you can call it that?
On 23.12.2020 our second born daughter was born ... our biggest Christmas present. We did not lose faith in life and were gifted with a wonderful daughter.
If you need support with your issues: there are incredibly great programs like Mindvalley, coaches like Ivan Nikolov, guys like me you can turn to and many more great opportunities.
I wish you all the best, lots of strength for your tasks & challenges (professional as well as private) and most of all stay healthy.
Laris
