TRAKA 100 — A different kind of 2nd race day.
After dropping out of the TRAKA 360 on Friday, Sunday had another start line waiting. This time with my daughter - her first race.
My body was still not right. Better than Friday, but far from good. Then, right after the first climb, Alia crashed. A chunk of skin torn from her shin, blood everywhere. She got back on the bike.
80 kilometers with an open wound. No complaints. No quitting. Dust, heat, gravel — she took it all and kept pedaling.
We crossed the finish line together. Not the time we planned, not the shape we hoped for. But we finished. And this meant more than any time goal ever could.
Aliya has fully arrived as an athlete in our team. Proud father. Proud coach.
thx to our sponsors and support (your chews saved our motivation) 🧡 🧡
And THX to for a great event (with some room to improve) but overall a great experience and all the photographers that banned the memory in a pic

The TRAKA Bike Setup — Built for the real world, not for Instagram.
Second year at TRAKA. Two seasons of testing setups, materials, and configurations. Through coaching and our sponsor partnerships we get to put real equipment through real conditions — and evaluate what actually works for us and our athletes on course.
Here’s the thing most people don’t talk about in gravel racing: the majority of us spend double the time out there compared to the pros. That changes everything. It’s not about chasing the lightest or flashiest build. It’s about a setup that’s fast, unbreakable, and forgiving enough in the handling to get you home in one piece.
After two years, we found it. No influencer build. Just proven excellence.
Propain Terrel CF — Light, race-oriented, climbs like it means it. Clears big tires and large rotors. Top tier, but affordable.
Campagnolo Ekar — One of the lightest 13-speed groups on the market. Ultra reliable. No gimmicks.
Dandyhorse Wheels — 52mm deep, 32mm internal width. Rim protection, aero, light, incredibly fast with surprisingly low wind sensitivity for the profile height.
Vittoria Tires — The tire testing alone was a journey. We tried everything. What won us over was unexpected: Pe**te 57mm front, Mezcal 53mm rear. Fast, comfortable, massive buffer on descents, serious grip on climbs, sidewall protection. Sealed with Milkit sealant.
Brooks C17 Carbon Saddle — Comfortable, sprung, Paris-Roubaix proven, surprisingly light.
Ride FARR Aero Bar — Endless hand positions for long days in the saddle.
Shimano 140mm Rotors — Larger diameter means more braking power, more braking power means more safety. Simple.
This is what two years of real-world testing looks like. For more informations DM us.
World Champion 2026 🏆
This one hits different.
After a rough start dealing with sickness and multiple nutrition issues, this win means more than most. Nothing about this race was easy — and we knew that before we even crossed the start line.
But that’s exactly what makes a team. When the body struggles, the plan adapts. When the challenge grows, you grow with it. Together, we tackled every problem that was thrown at us — and came out on top.
The result speaks for itself.

THE TRAKA 360 — The one that got away. Again.
Let me be honest with you.
I came to Girona this year with a clear goal: finish The Traka 360 alongside Oriol in under 17 hours. Last year, a back injury forced me out after 250k. This year, the preparation was dialed in — better than ever. I knew the course, I knew my body, I knew the plan. Or so I thought.
The day before the race, everything checked out. The legs felt good, the bike was ready, the mind was sharp. But when race morning came, something was off from the very first pedal stroke. No power. No appetite. No ability to process food or fluids. My body had simply decided — not today.
For 125 kilometers I tried to fight it. Tried to find a rhythm, tried to negotiate with a system that wasn’t responding. But there comes a point where pushing through isn’t courage anymore — it’s just poor judgment. I pulled out. So did three others at the same spot, dealing with similar issues. Turns out I had carried an illness into the race without knowing it.
And yes — it stings.
Two years in a row. As an athlete, as a coach, that sits with you. There’s no sugarcoating it.
But here’s what I’ve learned over the years: a race is one day. Your response to it defines what comes next. I knew I had The Traka 100 lined up for Sunday, and I made a conscious decision right there — close this chapter, move on, show up again in two days.
And that’s exactly what I did.
The ability to let go of a result that didn’t happen so you can be fully present for what’s ahead — that might be one of the hardest skills in endurance sport. It’s not about being unaffected. It’s about choosing where your energy goes.
Traka 360, we’re not done. But for now — chapter closed.
The Traka 100 recap is coming next. And that’s a different story. Spoiler: I still came one with 3500k elevation in 4 days.

A few months ago, Jonas joined the SBRC family — and the progress has been nothing short of remarkable. At the Ironman 70.3 in Jesolo, Jonas smashed his previous time from Erkner last year by a full HOUR.
That’s what happens when athlete and coach click, the process is trusted, and the work gets done — day in, day out.
Great job, Jonas. This is just the beginning. 🚀
Delivered! 🤜🏻🤛🏻 🥇
