Earth Day this year focuses on accelerating the switch to cleaner, renewable energy, something very pertinent to the clothing industry. The countries where most of our clothes are made, places like India, China, and Bangladesh, also happen to be those with the dirtiest power. Coal dominates, and sadly, it looks set to increase rather than decrease.
As you know, we make 100% of our clothes here in the UK, where, since we switched off our last coal-fired power station last year, we now enjoy some of the cleanest power on the planet. Making clothes here in the UK is better for planet Earth.
