We don't talk about this much publicly, but behind the coaching at Escapist is a curriculum we've been building and refining since 2016.
The Escapist Academy is where we train coaches the way we think coaching should actually work. Not certifications for the sake of it. Not theory disconnected from a real gym floor. The mechanics, the progressions, the culture, the standard, everything that makes an Escapist coach different from someone who just passed a weekend course.
Tier 1 is open now. Two spots left.
If you've ever thought about coaching, seriously thought about it, not just as a side hustle but as something you want to do properly, this is worth looking at even if the timing isn't perfect.
DM us the word "academy" and we'll send you the link.

Most people don’t actually fail at fitness. They simply lose momentum somewhere along the way.
Life changes. Work gets stressful. Kids arrive. Someone gets sick. Motivation disappears for a while and training slowly fades into the background. Then months later comes the familiar thought: “I really need to start again.”
The difficult part is not starting. Most people have started many times before. The difficult part is building something that survives real life.
That is why we created Escapist around one simple idea: Never start over again.
Not through motivation alone, but through structure, coaching and support during the moments where people normally fall off. Vacation plans. Recovery plans. Adjustments during stressful periods. Conversations when things are not working.
Because fitness should not disappear every time life becomes challenging. In many ways, that is exactly when you need it the most.
Our goal is not to help people have one good month of training. Our goal is to help them build momentum that lasts for years.

8 years at Escapist.
It’s easy to talk about coaching.
It’s much harder to show up, day after day, year after year, and actually do the work.
Wanda has done exactly that.
She has helped hundreds of people change their lives.
Not through big promises, but through consistency, care and real coaching.
Always on time.
Never complaining.
Always focused on helping the person in front of her.
Through good times and challenging times, she has been a constant.
That is rare.
And it’s a big part of what Escapist is today.
Wanda, thank you.
For your work, your standards and the way you show up every single day.
We’re proud of what has been built so far.
And even more excited for what’s ahead.
Let’s continue building this legacy together.

Never start over again.
That’s not just something we say.
It’s how we coach, how we work, and what we expect from our team.
We’re looking for coaches who want this as much as we do.
Not people who just want to run a class.
But people who care about building routines, creating momentum, and actually helping others change.
Coaching at Escapist means responsibility.
It means paying attention.
It means showing up prepared and giving people clarity when they need it most.
You don’t need to know everything.
But you need to want to learn, improve, and take ownership.
If you’re serious about coaching and want to be part of something that values structure, consistency, and real impact, we should talk.
Send us a message or apply to the Escapist Academy.

Most people over 40 start running. It feels like the right move.
But here's what's actually happening underneath: your body is quietly losing muscle mass every single year and running does nothing to stop it. In fact, doing it as your only form of exercise may speed the process up.
It's like repainting every room in a house while the foundation slowly cracks. You're busy. You feel productive. The structure is getting weaker.
Muscle mass is the strongest predictor of how well you age. Not how far you can run. Not your resting heart rate. Muscle.
The good news: it's completely addressable. But not with more running.
Save this if you want to come back to it. Like it if someone you know needs to read this.
