This will be one of the most unique AcroYoga Retreats:

If you need to escape, then escape with us. We will take you to the Indonesian island Sikandang, a place just for us. With blue water, coral reefs, white beaches and raw nature.
There amidst this beautiful setting, you will learn a whole lot of AcroYoga, meditate and practice Yoga every day!

The best thing is, that your participation supports the preservation of the island as we donate a major part to the BlueLife project: An initiative that works to clean the ocean and supports the people who live in that area.

We are Marie & Tomas, 2 AcroYoga & Acrobatic Teachers from Berlin & Cardiff. You might have run into us at an Acro Festival already, or this summer you can meet us at Acroatia & French Acro.

This retreat is for AcroYoga Beginners & Intermediates. We will cover all basic Acro topics and teach you a lot of flows, poses, L-basing and standing Acro. More than anything, this will be your time, so if you want to just chill or explore the ocean life – that is perfectly fine. The retreat can accommodate 6 - 12 people (with a max. of 16).

If you are unsure about travelling in these times, rest assured we have a really good cancellation policy. Because nobody knows what may happen. This could be a fantastic experience! And maybe, this could be your greatest adventure.

In Yoga it can be a big step starting with inversions like headstand, handstand, forearmstand.
Nevertheless, they are super fun and can give you new challenges & confidence.

In this workshop I show you how to approach these postures safely and systematically, so you are able to integrate them confidently in your own practice.

You might come with some pre-experience or not.
The good thing is that for every inversion there is a always a way how to make it possible and more challenging (impossible 😋) . Also, you can never learn enough about working on your shoulder and wrist strength, health and anatomy.

Workshop schedule:
11-12 Wrist & shoulder exercises, alignment drills
12-13 Headstand + variations , Partner-Shoulderstands

- 20 min break to brunch and chat or continue practicing -

13:20 - 14:00 anatomy for inversions + common injuries
14:00-14:30 handstand exercises & balance tricks
14:30-15:00 integration of inversions into your flows
15:00-15:30 work on individual questions

• a safe way to practice inversions
• progressions for each pose
• knowledge about Wrist & Shoulder Anatomy
• creative flows wich integrate inversions

Who am I?
My name is Marie and I am a passionate Vinyasa Yoga teacher and acrobatic Yoga teacher. When I started Yoga 9 years ago, I didn’t trust my arms to hold me nor did I have any orientation upside down.
Through falling in love with acrobatics I lost the fear from inversions and it started to be an every day playful element.
Because of repetitive movements in Ashtanga + Acrobatics with unhealthy alignment I had to struggle with shoulder pain that developed over the years. I spend a lot of time learning from my pain. It was a good motivator and teacher and as I am interested in anatomy and alignment I gathered the knowledge that helped me to continue with my practice and change my movement patterns.
Here in this workshop I want to share my knowledge with you as well as the joy for inversions.
