One year can change a lot.

Last year in Berlin, I didn’t finish.

This year, in one of the hottest weekends of the year, I crossed the finish line with no penalties, no disqualification and a much stronger version of myself.

It wasn’t a podium performance.

But it was proof of progress.

My third HYROX race as a solo athlete and probably the one I’m most proud of so far.

The biggest lesson?

Consistency beats motivation.
Every session counts.
Every early morning matters.
Every setback teaches something.

Now it’s time to recover, analyse the race and get back to work.

The goal isn’t to be perfect.

The goal is to keep improving.

Huge thanks to the Nike Training team for the support and energy throughout the journey. 🙏

The Idea: Why Strength Training Matters for Longevity 🧙‍♂️
Most people train for the next vacation or a specific weight. The science of longevity is about training for the next decade. Strength is the ultimate currency for aging well.
1. Metabolic Defense: Muscle is your most active tissue; it makes you metabolically “expensive” and resistant to disease.
2. Structural Stability: Strong muscles don’t just move bones; they pull on them, stimulating bone density and preventing fractures during falls (the #1 cause of fatal injury for adults 40+).
3. Hormonal Resilience: Correct resistance training builds a hormonal buffer against the natural decline of aging.
We’re not training to be bodybuilders; we’re training to be 80-year-olds who can do their own groceries and walk up stairs without help.

Nike brought us to London to explore what really drives performance:
your mind.
Focus, emotion, resilience 🥷 the real engines behind every rep.

Between the workshops, the laughs, the networking and testing the new gear…
I still found myself on the HYROX floor and thanks to my partner (the real MVP of this weekend 😂🔥) we pushed through everything together.

Not perfect. Not easy.
But that’s the fun part: learning, growing, evolving 🫶

London, obrigado.
Back home with a sharper mind and a stronger network. 🧠✨

Mobility. Strength. Discipline.
Small daily wins that stack over years.
That’s how you age with power and purpose.
Checklist Items:
• ⬜ 5+ minutes joint mobility
• ⬜ Strength train with intent
• ⬜ Move in 3D (not just sagittal)
• ⬜ Breathe, sleep, hydrate
• ⬜ Repeat tomorrow

• Longevity is holding a kettlebell at 60
• Longevity is pain-free squats in your 40s
