The scene in front of us was truly magnificent beyond words!
Just imagine this: the Arsenal fans who were devastated yesterday after losing the UEFA Champions League title are the very same fans who welcomed the team today with this royal celebration.
The atmosphere was absolutely incredible. More than 1.5 million supporters flooded the streets, surrounding the team bus and celebrating wildly as they honored the champions of England after a 22-year wait. They completely set aside yesterday's disappointment and chose not to let it overshadow this historic achievement.
What made the occasion even more special was the tremendous support shown to Gabriel. Fans displayed red scarves bearing his image, sending a clear message: "You are a hero in our eyes, no matter what happens." It is the mark of a positive fanbase that truly appreciates and stands by its players.
It was a remarkable spectacle that proved Arsenal possesses a great and positive fanbase—one that knows how to celebrate and embrace joy regardless of circumstances. A historic celebration worthy of Arsenal, the champions of England. 👏❤️

This is the reason why no Spanish player from Real Madrid was called up by Luis de la Fuente for Spain’s 2026 World Cup squad.

🌍 Less than a month separates us from the biggest event on Earth! ⏳ The 2026 World Cup is getting closer… here’s everything you need to know about the biggest and strangest edition in history! ⚽🏆
Before this exceptional tournament kicks off, I wanted to share a complete summary of the most important numbers and revolutionary changes that will define this edition:
📊 The World Cup by the numbers (the biggest and longest ever):
• 3 host nations: For the first time, the tournament will be held across an entire continent (USA, Mexico, and Canada) in 16 host cities.
• 48 teams and 104 matches: 40 more games than the 2022 Qatar World Cup!
• Tournament duration: For the first time ever, it will last 38 days.
• Opening and final: The tournament begins on June 11 at the legendary “Azteca” Stadium in Mexico, while the final will take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
🛠️ The new tournament format (a golden chance for third-place teams):
The teams will be divided into 12 groups of 4 teams each. The top two teams from every group will qualify, along with the best 8 third-placed teams, before the knockout stage begins from the Round of 32.
💥 Shocking absences and new faces:
• Biggest absentees: Italy (missing for the third consecutive World Cup), Colombia, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chile, Poland, and Denmark.
• Newcomers: Four teams will make their World Cup debut — Jordan, Uzbekistan, Cape Verde, and Curaçao (the smallest nation in the tournament).
👔 A Brazilian shock and a revolution on the benches:
• For the first time in history, there will be no Brazilian managers at the World Cup, as Brazil’s national team is now led by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti.
• More than 50% of the 48 national team coaches are foreigners! Argentina leads with 6 coaches abroad, followed by France with 5.
🛑 Revolutionary changes and strict new rules to stop time-wasting:
FIFA is challenging anti-football tactics with major new rules that will be applied at this World Cup:
1. Expanded VAR powers: VAR will now intervene in corner-kick decisions and in identifying players deserving yellow cards.
2. Artificial intelligence: Semi-automated offside technology will be used through sensors inside the ball and advanced tracking cameras.
3. Anti-time-wasting measures:
• A substituted player has only 10 seconds to leave the pitch, otherwise his team will play with one player less for a full minute!
• Injured players must stay off the field for at least one minute of treatment, even if they are ready to return immediately.
• Throw-ins and goal kicks must be taken within 5 seconds, otherwise possession goes to the opponent!
4. Captain-only rule: Only the team captain is allowed to speak to the referee, while any collective protest will result in an instant yellow card.
5. Dividing matches into 4 quarters? “Cooling and hydration breaks” in the middle of each half will continue, which also supports the American commercial model of increasing TV advertising windows.
🧐 The strongest groups and biggest clashes:
• Group 3: A massive showdown between Brazil and Morocco (ranked 6th and 8th in the world).
• Group 9 (Group of Death): France, Senegal (a remake of the 2002 opener), Norway, and Iraq. It has the highest average ranking at 25.

Jack Grealish 🎙️:
“When I met Messi for the first time, I told him: ‘Leo, you’re the best football player I’ve ever seen in my life.’ He smiled and shook my hand, then during the break I said to him: ‘Leo, please come to Manchester City… Guardiola shouts at us all the time, and he always says: Messi never needed me to talk to him! If you join City, he’ll stop shouting at me.’”
He added:
“Messi smiled and walked away, then Rodri came over and asked me: ‘What did you say to him?’ I told him the whole story, and he burst out laughing before saying: ‘Do you even speak Spanish?’ I said: ‘No.’ Then he replied: ‘You idiot, Messi doesn’t understand English!’ That’s when I realized Messi had completely played me, because he didn’t understand a single word I said!” 😂

Officially, the Spanish national team squad does not include a single Real Madrid player.

Which is harder: winning La Liga with 100 points for Madrid, or winning Chelsea’s first Premier League title while conceding only 15 goals?!
🚨🚨🚨🗣️ Mourinho:
“Reaching two European finals with Roma was harder.
Look at history and you’ll understand why for 50 years, they were unable to achieve it.” 👏

A point of view worth respecting. What do you think? Is it true that Guardiola is only a coach for rich clubs and wouldn’t succeed with a team that has a limited budget?

🚨🗣️ Fabio Capello launches a fierce attack on Pep Guardiola:
“Guardiola is a great coach, but in my opinion he has damaged football concepts, especially in Italy. Today, defenders care more about passing than performing their real defensive duties. There is an obsession with sideways passing and possession, even from players who simply do not have the quality for it.”
He added:
“Even goalkeepers are now more focused on playing with their feet than on making saves and protecting the team. If we want Italian football to rise again, we must get rid of these ideas and return to the style that brought us trophies and four World Cups.”
Capello continued:
“We should teach children to play direct, vertical football instead of making fifty or one hundred pointless passes.”
And regarding the possibility of Guardiola coaching Italy, he said:
“That is nonsense. Guardiola is a coach for wealthy clubs because he asks for a specific midfielder and the club immediately goes out and buys him. National teams do not offer that luxury. A national team coach must work only with the players available to him and cannot simply ask for whoever he wants.”

If you look at the performances throughout the season, it’s hard to argue that both West Ham and Tottenham didn’t deserve relegation. But in my opinion, there’s one thing that makes me sympathize with Tottenham a little more..
Tottenham suffered from terrible luck, starting with the injury crisis that at times exceeded 10 players and occasionally looked like an entire squad missing. Most of them were key players with long-term injuries, like Maddison and Solanke. On top of that, the team had several matches where they were leading but failed to hold on to the result.. And yes, I can already hear those saying West Ham were robbed against Arsenal!
We can agree or disagree about the disallowed West Ham goal, but a season is not decided by one match. Even if they had beaten Arsenal, West Ham still dropped too many easy points throughout the campaign, especially at home. It’s enough to say that this season they made history by failing to win a single London derby — something that had never happened before in Premier League history.
Overall, West Ham’s circumstances were better than Tottenham’s when it came to injuries, and they also had relatively more stability, changing managers only once during the season (Graham Potter – Nuno Espírito Santo), unlike Tottenham, who went through three different managers (Thomas Frank – Tudor – De Zerbi).
