Both a body and a mindset glow up!!

And it started with understanding one thing:
“Toned” isn’t the end of the road and it’s also not a result of more cardio or eating less. Toned is just muscle — the shape that muscle gives your body when you’ve built enough of it. The only way to get there is to lift heavy and eat enough to support it.

I was doing 8-10 cardio sessions a week, under-eating and wondering why my body wasn’t changing. Way too much volume and energy output with not enough food, training, and recovery to support that

The turning point arrived after I broke my arm realizing that a bone shouldn’t snap that easily 🫢

Its taken me years to arrive at this point of understanding that I needed to muscle instead of trying to get rid of fat in order to “get toned.”
The muscle adds shape, clothes fit differently, the body moves better which in turn creates stronger bones, mind, and a body that feels good to move in

I have a few openings for my Goddess Strength Club on Tuesday / Thursday @ 7am and a few 1-1 spots open on Thursday — directly DM or hit the link in bio to set up a call

Things I stopped stressing about as a strength coach and honestly my training mentality has never been better for it

We spend so much energy obsessing over the wrong things: The number on the scale, how little we’re eating, how much cardio we’re doing. It keeps us stuck in a cycle that doesn’t actually serve our training or our health.

That was hard! 😂

But I’ve done harder things i’m just glad that I made it to the end of this challenge

I also want to note that I had a small crash mid afternoon first day back with coffee but here’s to a new relationship with caffeine ☕️

😂 You have to be your own hype person when it comes to training 🙌🏼

Especially on the days when you don’t feel like doing it - because pushing through when it’s hard is exactly how you build the kind of discipline that outlasts motivation

Hype yourself up, talk yourself into it! And then go lift something heavy 💪🏼
