And since we rarely speak about this topic, it is still the heart and soul of our gym and a reason why the gym exists.

Strength is not just about lifting weights. It is also about making uncomfortable decisions, letting go of (selfish) habits, and questioning things that have always been done a certain way simply because we were raised that way - like eating animals.

Nobody holds the power to make this world a better place but us and the decisions we make every single day.

For loading a ridiculous amount of plates, having our lifters’ backs and taking care of all the little things that nobody notices until they don’t get done.

RAW X - After ten years, you’re allowed to get a little nostalgic and do the whole “looking back” thing, righttt?

So, what have we learned from 10 years of hosting powerlifting comps?

We’re still unable to take decent team pictures 😌.

But more importantly: you’re giving us back so much more than you know. Everyone participating, coming to watch, cheering, helping, supporting, showing up, spending the time together 💘. This is what makes it special.

It’s your meet too. And as long as you want us to keep going… we will.

We’re still looking for a few strong hands to help us turn the gym into competition mode on Friday evening. Expect moving platforms, benches, racks and probably a bunch of other heavy s**t we haven’t thought about yet. 🛠️💪

👉 Fri 18.09. — gym closes at 18:00
👉 Sat 19.09. — gym closed all day

Sorry, folks. 🫶🏽

HOWEVER: if skipping Friday’s workout feels unacceptable, we’ve got you covered. Come help us set up instead. There will be plenty of lifting involved. Probably more than you asked for. 🛠️💪
