Ashtanga Workshop / Week with Usha Rani Chittoor from Mysore . I am so happy to welcome Usha for her very first time in Europe in Cologne from may 9th to 13th ❤️🩵💜🩷
Usha was a long-time devoted student, secretary and assistant teacher to our dear Guruji Sharath Jois. She continues to teach at SYC ( Sharath Yoga Centre) and since some months also in her own shala in Mysore, .ashtangayogabindumysuru
We were waiting so much for her Visa confirmation to announce this beautiful Workshop outside of our Community at Ashtanga Yoga Mitte. And now its there 😊

We love this practice and the teachings so much and we honour Sharathji’s guidance, the safe space he provided for all of us ♥️ We honour our students trust and are sorry for what recently came to light! Please read this statement made by a group of Ashtanga teachers in recognition of abuse that recently we came to know. We want Mysore rooms to be a safe space for mutual respect where healing can happen ♥️

Its 10 months since Sharathji left but his work is alive 🔥we can see and feel it in every practice. Thanks to all who are coming to the mat everyday! Sometimes you have to remind yourself that without the Jois family there would be no ashtanga - its that easy! Very grateful that I had the chance to practice 20 years under his eyes and able to transmit this experience to my students ♥️ I hope at least 😊

Vidwan Lakshmish Bhat from the Sharath Yoga Centre in Mysore will be for 3 beautiful days full of Chanting, Sanskrit & Philosophy on may 1st, 3rd & 4th! Come & join us 💜Ashtangis and Non Ashtangis are all welcome🙏🔥 Take the Chance😊

Finally in Mysore♥️ As soon as I have my scooter and the first coconut I feel more arrived 😊
But this time is also very different! I was feeling a silent sadness arriving here this morning. Coming here all memories of 20 years flooded me. There will never ever be a practice with my dear teacher💔 I know that since nov 12th but here it felt so unreal as I see him in every corner. I made a stroll across Gokulam in the afternoon passing by the shala where all started for me 20 years back in nov 2004. Where Pattabhi, Saraswati & Sharathji were teaching all together. I feel very blessed that I had the chance to come here for so many years to practice under the eye of the guru(s) 💜🔥✨ The next days I will go to the SYC and also bring some flowers to Saraswati - the mom of Sharathji. I know already that it will be quite emotional but i feel in same time very healing 💕
