🥈 GISST U14 Boys Volleyball Runners-Up!

It's been an intense two days of high-quality volleyball for our boys team in Erlangen at the GISST Tournament, hosted by Franconian International School (FIS). 🏐

The boys battled through their pool matches and playoff games, earning their place in the final! A tough final against ISF saw them finish the tournament as GISST U14 Division I runners-up. Congratulations to ISF on the win! 👏

A fantastic effort from our boys from start to finish. To come away as GISST runners-up is an incredible achievement. Well done, boys! 🙌💥🥈

What an incredible two days of volleyball at St. George’s Düsseldorf! High-energy matches, fantastic volleyball, and an electric atmosphere throughout. ⚡👏
 
Our girls started strongly, winning 2 of their pool matches, with another 2 going right down to the wire. Even though the playoffs didn’t quite go our way, we couldn’t be prouder of the passion, grit, and determination they showed throughout the tournament. 💪
 
Lots of laughter, loud chants, clippings and special memories made along the way. Well done, girls! 👏💙
 

To kick off the long weekend, our cricket team was back in action on Wednesday, taking on Bonn International School once again 🏏☀️

And what a game it was! After another closely contested match, SGSC fell just short, finishing on 136 as BIS edged the result with 137, winning by just 1 run.

A fantastic effort from our team and another great afternoon of cricket. Well done, everyone! 👏

On Wednesday evening, we hosted our 5️⃣th Annual Sports Awards Evening, which was a celebration of our students’ sporting success from the 2025/26 year!

We honoured achievements across Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Cross-Country, Football, Netball, Swimming and Volleyball 🏸🏀🏊‍♀️🏏🏃‍♀️⚽️🏐 We couldn’t be prouder of everything our students have accomplished, both on and off the field!

A great afternoon of cricket in the sunshine today against Bonn International School (BIS) ☀️🏏
 
After posting an impressive total of 98, it came down to a nail-biting finish, with BIS chasing it down in the final over to finish on 99/9 with 3 balls remaining. Well done to BIS on their victory!
