Zur Vorbereitung auf den Saisonauftakt richtet der MBC Elbe Dessau e. V. ein Frühjahrstraining für alle Rennklassen auf dem heimischen Kornhauskurs auf der Elbe aus.
Hier haben die Fahrer die Gelegenheit, ihre Boote zu testen, letzte Einstellungen vorzunehmen und sich intensiv auf die bevorstehenden Rennen vorzubereiten.

What a tragedy. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of the three racers.
And we continue to pray for Dustin Pearson, who is still fighting for his life after a serious racing accident at an APBA race at the weekend.

UIM President, Raffaele Chiulli, on behalf of the International Powerboat Federation, deeply regrets the recent loss of three powerboat drivers: Brett Duncan (GBR), Tomi Huuhka (FIN), and Treiden Schliecher (USA). We extend our deepest condolences to their families, their loved ones, teams, and National Powerboat Authority.

We are mindful of other serious incidents that have occurred and express our support to those recovering.

Safety remains a top priority in powerboat racing, and these rare but tragic events remind us of the risks involved.

We commend the efforts of all officials and safety teams during these difficult moments and trust in their continued vigilance as the season progresses.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE CIRCUIT POWERBOAT ASSOCIATION :

Following on from a racing incident that took place at the Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club on Thursday 24th July 2025, we are sad to confirm that circuit powerboat racer, Brett Duncan (51) has unfortunately succumbed to the injuries that he sustained in a lone racing accident.

As an experienced and popular member of the power boating community, we are shocked and saddened by Brett’s untimely passing and our sincere thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this tragic time.

We would like to express our thanks and gratitude to all of the event staff and the emergency services for their swift and timely response to the incident.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, there will be no further details released at this time.

We also request that the family is given the privacy that they need to grieve.
