I`m addicted to basenjis since I have seen one the first time in the early 90ties on a dogshow at Dortmund/Germany. Therefore I got in contact with in the scene very wellknown Sally & Marvin Wallis from Zande Basenjis in Great Britain in 1993. I had to wait almost 2 years till 1995 before I got my first Basenji
Her name was Asali, Zande Asali (Zande Rajua x Embeau Alpha) and she was on my side for over 15 years! Loki`s Iloua (Klassic`s Lady in Red x Zuri`s Nwa Ozuzu) - from the US. She was bred by my dear friend Alex Guth from Loki Basenjis. WIth "Loua" I had my first litter, she is the foundation girl of my Msumari`s breeding. Nowadays, there are 5 Basenjigirls out of 4 generations living at home with me. One male is living with a friend of mine and 4 more Basenjis are co-owned. Please read carefully the characteristics of the breed! Basenjis are not an easy breed and you need to know what you get for the next 12-16 years!

So very proud of them!

First show day it was so lovely and sunny weather, while the second day was cloudy and rainy… perfect Basenji weather… 😆

As we had big problems with our car, we couldn’t stay for the finals the second show cause we didn’t want to risk a breakdown in the night during our 5 hours ride home!
Luckily out car brought us home safe and sound and is now in the garage to hopefully get fixed!
404000 km on the speedometer is quite a lot… 😅

These both girls have attended the International Silberteller Race of the WRKA at Krenglbach (A) and we‘re coming home with great results!

3 Basenji females have been entered.

❤️ „Zouhyah“
Multi-Ch. Msumari‘s Nyzouhyah did so great, winning the race on gras over 350m with 29,12 sec in the first run and 28,88 seconds in the second run, which is new track record for female Basenjis and she got her first ticket CCLA for the racing champion!

❤️ „Youhko“
Multi-Ch. Msumari’s Fayouhko, who is having her last racing season being over 8,5 years old had so much fun, and finished both races as third, only about 4/100 sec behind place 2!
She got a wonderful gift, as it was her last race at this track!

Thanks a lot to the organizers Martina & Leonie Wiesinger and the whole team of the WRKA for this lovely event!

It was very nice to meet Teja with her lovely girl „Kira“ who was placed second!

And thanks a lot to Sonja and Michael for the great company during the whole day!
It was so lovely to see you again!

Side note:
Louhmih did really wonderful in the main ring and was selected as pick of group 5 in best junior competition at Cacib1 !
But when the 10 selected dogs had to run a last round, the lady with her big dog behind us almost crashed into us and little Louhmih got really scared then…
Not really fair and the rest of the show weekend Louhmih was a bit spooked in the main ring when having a bigger dog behind us…
Was it on purpose or not…
I don’t know…
But it wasn’t a nice experience for such a young dog and I guess I have to work hard now that she will come over this not so nice experience…

What a wonderful success for our young girlie!
And - wonderful and unexpected surprise - we met Martyna Domin, the owner of Louhmis daddy Lenny at the show!
As I had 3-4 dogs competing in the BOB ring, Martyna offered her help to show her „granddaughter“ Louhmih and she perfectly handled her to BOB & BOG-1 at the CAC show on sunday, her dear friend Dominika handled Louhmih to BOB at the CACIB, while I was in the ring with her winning BOG-1!

What a super little lady, being so good and showing herself so super both days with strangers in the ring in this noisy, warm and crowded hall, winning over champions and her relatives!

We are sooo proud of her!

My heartfelt thanks to Martyna & Dominika for the great help in the competition!
It was so lovely to meet you and as well big congratulations to you wins!

❤ MSUMARI‘S BASENJIS & FRIENDS MEETING 2026 ❤

Another fantastic Msumari’s Basenjis & Friends Meeting on 25.07.2026 – another wonderful day to remember!

As the weather forecast predicted temperatures above 30°C, we decided to start earlier than usual at 11:00 am, so we could hold our fun race before the heat became too intense.

A total of 24 Basenjis and 2 guest dogs, together with their owners - 35 humans - joined us this year.
Our Basenjis competed in six different categories during the fun race and the winners got trophies, while every participant was awarded a certificate and a small gift as a thank-you for taking part.

This year’s fun competition combined a small agility course with the challenge of eating a sausage as quickly as possible.
It was hilarious to watch, and everyone had an amazing time—as the photos clearly show!

Our „Guess How Many Kibbles Are in the Jar“ game was another great success, with almost everyone joining in and eagerly trying their luck.

Most Bs took the chance for an off leash run at the field inside the track and specially the youngsters had a blast, running free!

As always, the barbecue was absolutely delicious.
Big thanks thank you to everyone who joined us, brought delicious salads and cakes, and helped with setting up and taking down the tents and equipment.
Your support made the day run so smoothly.

Three caravans stayed overnight at the racetrack, and we spent the afternoon/evening chatting, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company until well past midnight.
We finally went to bed at 3:00 am, proof of what a wonderful time we had together!
